Posted June 21, 200618 yr I guess that talk about us not fielding a major league club was a fabrication. Some of you still feel jipped that you are being charged major league prices for a minor league team? question

Troll Im so proud of you. Excellent post! I think Troll is right. The Marlins and their fans need to give some serious props to Festa AKA The Demon Terminator. :notworthy And to answer Das' question........I'll admit I did some whining pre-spring training in reference to the projected Opening Day line up. I think some of it was natural fan reaction to having their baseball team disappear. Doubt anyone is crying now.
June 21, 200618 yr I guess that talk about us not fielding a major league club was a fabrication. Some of you still feel jipped that you are being charged major league prices for a minor league team? question If you are aksing whether I am still upset that Loria and Co. decided to spend less than half of their revenue sharing money on their entire payroll, then the answer is yes. There are still plently of holes on this team that need to be addressed, and I feel we could have done this and still had the lowest payroll in the league. However, it is nice to see the development of the young guys we do have, and this winning streak is awesome.
June 21, 200618 yr I still don't like having to pay that much for tickets, it's way too high right now.
June 21, 200618 yr maybe this is rude to ask but why is troll's english so bad? The eternal quandary. All I know is it drives me nuts sometimes the lack of ability to express thoughts coherently on this board by a few users.

The 'holes' you speak of are assumed by players who the club expects might be part of their future and might use this opportunity to their advantage, if not for securing a job then atleast for development. These 'holes' serve a purpose to the club's stated goal of winning a World Series [eventually].
June 21, 200618 yr I don't think we can answer that question Das until the season is over and we have played all the games. Clearly we're on quite the upswing right now and it would be quite a kneejerk reaction to assess our team's value right now. I know what you're aim was with the question and certainly we're not the bottom feeders others have made us out to be but we're not exactly the '27 yankees either.
