I would rather fund stemcell research then fund farmers not to plant and people that own lands that used to be farmed for free money, but that is just me.

This would be a pretty good summation of Bush's presidency. Doesn't veto a single thing in his entire 2-terms, no spending bills, nothing. And when he finally does stand up and use it, it's over something that the public is overwhelmingly for.

 

I can't believe this country elected him in TWICE. We have this fascination with watching train wrecks.

 

 

 

I don't think it absolutely 100% needs to be federally funded either, but for Bush to finally pull out the veto on something like this is just so.... Bush.

No terrorist group is going to be able to launch a missile. That can be stopped much easier than a direct attack.

 

 

You're right. Just because it's happened before doesn't mean it couldn't happen in the future.
