DTrizzle
Has anyone heard anything about the attendance that is expected in game 3 at the Pro? If you have any information, I would appreciate it.
DurableTear
Anything below 40K would be bad...
RossInfoMan
Judging from the fact that the upper deck is almost completely full from foul pole to foul pole, Id say theyve sold at least 40k already, probably more.

Wild Card
1trufan should be able to get more info on this. I'm seriously expecting 60K, and I think it would be an insult to this team if we didn't get it.
CapeFish
Marlins didn't get 60k in 1997 until the World Series. But if they have sold 40k already, can you imagine the walkup for that monster?

But if they have sold 40k already, can you imagine the walkup for that monster? I don't care what they got in '97. This season is what matters. This season is 10x more special than any season for any team in just over three decades in my mind. They DESERVE 67K, but I think 60 need to show up for this. This is history. CapeFish
Wildcard, they will draw at least 50k, but we still have a week left to sell. 40k already sold. 20k to go with one week left. Now imagine a walkup of 10k which we have had earlier this season and 16k sold this week in advance, we could have a true PPS capacity crowd. I could imagine 15-20K being sold in advance this week, and a walk-up crowd around 7-12 K (probably bigger, but the others will be disappointed and unable to purchase tickets legally). I do see a sellout of 67,000. FishFan24
According to the Miami Herald this morning:Â Â Game 3 tickets sold: 40,000 Game 4 tickets sold: 35,000Â Â Thats not bad. Game 1 of the '97 NLDS saw 42,000 some people come out to PPS. And with a week to go, I'm sure more tickets will be purchased in time for the game. Wild Card
i dont see 67 but i see alot maybe 50k PLUS You do know they've already sold 40K, right? Expect a walk-up of at LEAST 15K, and at LEAST 10-20K tickets sold in advance over the week.

The Dolphins will be on the road and their is no conflict with both teams so the possible fan base won't be worn thin.

The Dolphins will be on the road and their is no conflict with both teams so the possible fan base won't be worn thin. We've gotten 15K walk-up crowds this year before, we will do it again. If they can sell just 10K over the next week in advance, the game will sellout, because I think a walk-up of 10K is a guarentee. Hell, if I go, I might just buy 2-4 extra tickets to make a little money scalping. :shifty
CapeFish
Guys, PPS is the largest capacity stadium of any of the teams in the NL Playoffs. (By 2006, it will be the only one left, because the Marlins cannot build a ballpark by 2006 even if they did start today) Turner Field: 50,091 Wrigley Field: 39,241 Pacific Bell Park: 41,503 Pro Player Stadium: 67,204 (Baseball) We have the largest advantage in terms of crowd size in the NL Playoffs. The AL teams have some big, old stadiums: Yankee Stadium: 57,478 Network Assoc. Coluseium: 43,662 (Baseball) The MetroDome: 48,678 (Baseball) Fenway Park: 33,993 (night); 33,577 (day)
Wild Card
We have the largest advantage in terms of crowd size in the NL Playoffs. I think Pro Player has the highest capacity for any stadium in baseball. Can anyone else think of a park that can fit more than Pro Player? The only ones I can think that come close are the Vet and Qualcomm, and neither of them will exist next season.

Veteran Stadium has a seating capacity of 62,382.Just a quick side note:Mile-High Stadium had a seating capacity of 76,098 (For baseball play.) when the Rockies played there.
