August 22, 200619 yr Author Why? That's not a good move, couldn't he have been the closer next year? No... he walks too many people
August 23, 200619 yr Too many injuries and the Marlins have a logjam with all the good young pitchers they have. Wellemeyer didn't work out and now German. I have a feeling Mitre is next....we have Pinto, Petit, and Bostick who can fill his role.
August 23, 200619 yr Darn, he wasn't a bad guy to have working in the minors as a project because he had some stuff and we still need some legitimate releivers and not these starters who are lost in the pen.
August 23, 200619 yr Is he considered damage goods as well? He was never anything special. Even with the Topes. For a team that relies heavily on it's minor league system, we can do better.
