'07 Ticket Prices

Featured Replies

I'm not a season ticket holder (obviously), but that news about the change in the individual game tickets is disturbing. Back in June, I ONLY purchased my tickets on gameday because it was less risky in terms of rainouts.

Care to guess how many rainouts we have had this year??

I don't think it's just rainouts, it's the THREAT of rainouts. People are getting home from work, see dark overcast skies & say "why do I want to take my family out & get stuck in the rain? I'll wait for a day when it's clear out."

Ive been trying to explain the "Threat of Rain" theory to him Hot.

He's just not gettin it.

The good think about having a stadium downtown (like Oriole Park) is that you get a lot of garages competing for prices. I know a garage 2 blocks from the stadium that charges $10 for parking, which is actually pretty cheap. I also know some places to park for free put they are a little sketchy.

Closest parking to Fenway is $25. :banghead

That's why I take the T--but if it's a Sunday night game going into extras then you might have to leave early because the T won't run later to accomodate game crowds and it stops at like 12:30. :plain

This is the first time I have ever said anything about the rain, so I have no idea why you are saying that. Barking up the wrong tree here Don. However, I do feel it is a worn out excuse that carries no weight. But we have used it too. Week day games we will check the doppler for around the stadium and if it looks apparent we will have long rain delay we consider about not going. We have gone to games when we didn't get home until after 2AM. Makes working the next day kinda rough. Usually we go anyways and if it looks like a long delay during the game we just leave around the time the game would have been over. But that's us. And we don't have a couple kids to keep entertained during delays. It's understandable to me for a family to want a beautiful day/night at the park. If they are buying their tickets as they go then they have all the right in the world to not want the hassle of rain delays. The word rainouts is why I even posted. We rarely have them. Rain delays is a far better and more accurate term. And they can be a major pain in the Steinbrenner. Which is why this team will not settle for a new pond without that retractable roof no matter where it is built.

I havent got my renewal yet but I will probably do the plan where you pay off the tickets within 4-5 months (w/e it is) I did that for this season and it worked out fine...

It is only a small payment each month.. Any idea on what they might give for an incentive this yr? Last season they gave out a get hooked orange Cabrera shirt.

Didn't really say what the give away was this year. Just said there would be one for full season ticket holders. Actual wording is Special Season Ticket Holder only gift. If you have not recieved your renewal yet then my guess is yours is not the full season (nothing wrong with that IMO) so I am not sure if there even is a give away for the other plans. I'm sure they will have something tho. I would also like to know if the other plans get the Media Guide as a gift.

We also went with the 5 payment plan. (15th of Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, and Feb) We were going to go with paying it off by Sept 15th to get the 2 ST season tix but they are vouchers and not guaranteed seating. Besides, all those 1:05 games is a little too hard for a working man and woman to make. LOL So we made it easier on ourselves. But now we are hoping Roger Dean does the same thing this year they have in the past. We have been going with the 5 game plan there. Buy as many tix as you want for 5 different games and you get guaranteed seating.
