I bet Cincy wishes they still had him.

Cincy wishes they had a lot of things right now

Off Topic but in your sig where it says 'We could have had Preston' I agree 100% if your say what I think you are (in that we should have picked him up when he was available)

Preston > Alfredo

And thats on any given day of the week

I'd like an explanation please.

First, they're both pretty bad in CF, but Preston has been an OFer for a decade of baseball, while AA has just started learning it.

Preston Wilson (remember he played many games in a hitter friendly park)

vs RHP 255/292/410 (wow, he makes a ton of outs)

vs LHP 290/351/430 (would've been a nice platoon partner for AA, but Joe could just start Ross in CF)

September 28AB 179/258/393

Afredo Amezega

vs RHP 293/351/386 (godsend for us in CF despite is faults.I'd like to hear an argument proving otherwise)

vs LHP 079/234/074 (not his fault joe keeps trotting him out there against LHP. even tommy wondered why)

September 37AB 189/250/189 (majority of these ABs are against LHP)

again, explain. This analysis doesn't even include important factors such as....AA is cheaper, younger, and far more valuable as a utility man. Not to mention potential chemistry issues of this tight-knit clubhouse.

Just put a disclaimer in your sig. That way you won't forget.

omg a REFERENCE!

Unfortunately, I never claimed to be a statistical/projectual expert, so now your sig is libel.

I also think this "saving offense" theory is laughable. What are they supposed to do at the plate once they're up 10 runs? Just stand there? If the Marlins lose tonight 4-2 will you trot that out as evidence to your theory? :lol

A statement proven by your own signature. (Preston Wilson) ;)

Well in my context, I meant statistics and statistical projections. Maybe I'll put a disclaimer in my sig now. Thanks.

Still waiting on why Preston Wilson was our savior in CF. or does actual, thoughtful baseball talk scare people away?

I'm simply going by what he's done for the Cardinals so far, and especially what he did against us. I liked it.

I abhor stats, I mean simply loathe them.

yes, his 225/286/465 with the Cards blows me away also, what a boat we missed. :p

We could have had him!

Just keep riding the hot hand.. we rode Borch there for a while and now its Cody's turn.

You really can't argue against Fredo playing vs. righties.. that nice OBP is great for turning the lineup over. But, I also wouldn't be opposed to starting Borch and Ross in the OF either.
