How many spring training games are you planning on attending next year?

Normally we get the same package. But this year because os scheduling differences we won't be getting those. Insyead I'll be standing outside RDS on the Jan 20th for the Home Opener on March 1st (a tradition for us and some friends from Broward and Dade Counties), the game on the 4th, and hopefully get some BoSox tix as well. Afetr that we will be doing Sunday road trips following the Marlins around.

I'm trying to "formulate" my Spring Training schedule for this year. It looks like most likely that March 4 game at Roger Dean will be the first one of the season, and (as I wrote in another thread already similar to this one) most likely my son will be the "Honorary Bat Kid" for that game, meaning we'll get to hang out on the field for BP and the pre-game festivities and walk out with the managers to home plate to hand in the line-ups.

As for the rest of the spring, I'm taking a weeklong vacation this year and hitting the road with my son to catch as many different teams and ballparks. It's going to be great to get back to the West Coast. I haven't been to spring games out by the Gulf since I was in college (ah, yes, back in the day when I can catch a game in Bradenton or Sarasota early and be back in time for my 3:30 classes -- those were the days). My tentative schedule:

March 4: Marlins vs. Cardinals - Jupiter

March 5: Marlins vs. Orioles - Ft. Lauderdale

March 6: Either Port St. Lucie or Viera - depending on when the Mets and Nats release their ST schedule (if neither team is playing at home on those dates, then we'll adjust accordingly, probably just go back to Jupiter)

March 7: Cardinals vs. Dodgers - Vero Beach

March 8: Devil Rays vs. Pirates - Bradenton OR Tigers vs. Reds - Sarasota

March 9: Red Sox vs. Phillies - Clearwater OR Astros vs. Blue Jays - Dunedin

March 10: Phillies vs. Devil Rays (ss) - St. Petersburg OR Devil Rays (ss) vs. Twins - Ft. Myers

March 11: Orioles vs. Red Sox - Ft. Myers OR Pirates vs. Reds - Sarasota
