Pick three players who are Marlin sleepers (will surprisingly do well) this spring and 3 players who will be asleep during ST (who will not do well). We will see who is right at the end.

MY PICKS..................

SLEEPERS

Jason Stokes (1b)

Paul Mildren (RP)

Eric Reed (OF)

PLAYERS ASLEEP

Sergio Mitre (RP)

Alex Sanchez (OF)

Yusmerio Petit (SP/RP)

I would be very surprised if that was true about Sanchez, especially since he's competing to win a starting job...

I would be very surprised if that was true about Sanchez, especially since he's competing to win a starting job...

So who are your picks?

I think Sanchez will hit .170-.190 in the spring and Reed will be over .300, winning the job.

my picks:

Sleepers:

Mike Koplove

John Gall

Mike Jacobs (i think he'll blow up)

Asleep:

Randy Messenger (life-long narcoleptic, it seems)

Yusmerio Petit

Reggie Abercrombie

I think Petit, Owens and Nolasco are going to have very strong springs and that Jacobs, Johnson and Hermida are all going to struggle.

Sleepers:

Brett Hayes: I would love to see him have a monster spring and force the Marlins to make a tough decision between he and Treanor.

Matt Lindstrom: I think he will have a great spring training but not a great regular season. Players aren't ready for that 100 MPH FB yet,no matter how straight

Jose Garcia: Not getting enough attention/credit for the type of stuff he has and the numbers he put up in the minors.

Asleep:

Randy Messenger: Blah

Anybody who plays CF: Blah

Josh Johnson: Only because of injury. I hope we are very careful with the pitcher I consider to be our most talented and a future # 1.

Sleepers:

-Lindstrom

-Owens

-Anibal

Sleeping:

-Hanley (could happen after such a great year in 2006)

-Reggie Abercrombie

-Petit
