Some pics from the upcoming remake:

Little Mike

Dr. Loomis (Malcolm McDowell)

Annie (Danielle Harris), Laurie (Scout Taylor-Compton), and Lynda (Kristina Klebe)

Nowadays it seems like every other movie released is a remake. What ever happened to originality? Geez. I must admit though, Michael does look pretty bad ass and this can't possibly be any worse than Resurrection. So that being said and being the huge Halloween fan that I am, i'll probably be watching this opening weekend. And woo for Danielle Harris!

Could be good.

As long as they stick with the original music and don't "Rob Zombie" it up by using heavy guitars and stuff it's cool.

And the Misfits "Halloween" being played over the credits would be appreciated.

I still can't believe they remade The Wicker Man.

NOTHING is safe nowaday, my friend. Nothing.

It could easily be better than the original. I'm looking forward to it.

Ha! You're crazy. I highly doubt it'll even come close to the original.

Next they're gonna remake "scream"

The original is awesome.

I might have to check out this remake, though. Just because Michael looks so awesome.

Though, Dr. Loomis doesn't look right. :confused

That's because Dr. Loomis is ULTRA VIOLENT!

You guys are kidding me, right? The original Halloween sucked. It was just flat out stupid. There was no tension or anything in that movie whatsoever. And let me go on record and say the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre sucked as well. I don't understand why these two movies always get such high praise. I'll stick with A Nightmare on Elm St and Friday the 13th for my classic horro films. Still, I'll give Halloween some credit though. Rifftrax.com put out a fantastic audio track that's funny enough to keep me watching it again and again.

Wow.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is my favorite horror movie of all time. Freddie and Jason are a joke compared to Mike Myers in the original Halloween. I mean, essentially, you named a BAD spoof of Halloween by saying Friday the 13 is better. Jason is an exact copy of Mike Myers, especially in the sequels on.

It's all opinion anyways. I'll give this a chance. I liked the original Halloween and I don't have a problem with Zombie living out his boyhood fantasy.

Well, as you say, opinion is opinion and you really can't have a wrong opinion. The problem I had with Halloween was that nothing happened and when we finally get the big confrontation with Mike Meyers, the stupidest things would drop him like a sack of rocks. C'mon. A knitting needle to the shoulder and a coat hanger to the eye took him down. As for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I just found that hilarious. Everything about it seemed silly. As for Friday the 13th, if you're watching that, you're watching it for the kills, not the suspense. I can't say anything about carbon copy because I didn't bother watching the other Halloween films. The movies were all about the body count which made it easier to accept it for what it was. As for Freddy, I've always liked Freddy. Yeah, he got silly later in the series, the first one was a classic. Plus, he had a real personnallity.

I dont know Brad, while I can watch the original Friday the 13th with amusement, the best horror is the tension it brings. My favorite horror film of all time is either Bay of Blood, or Night of the living dead where their's little violence but the tension is what makes those films great. Like I absolutely loved Wolf Creek because it had violence but the tension in the film is what made it, otherwise I would have just liked hostel more if I wanted pure violence.

Oh, I completely agree. What I'm saying (aside from that I thought the Original Halloween and TCM were completely stupid) was that they has absolutely no tension whatsoever. Hell, in Halloween, the tension music seemed completely random. Those two movies, when I watched them, seemed completely goofy to me. The original B&W Night of the Living Dead was one of the greatest horror films of all time. I absolutely loved it. It downright bothered me at times.

To Bradcore: Please don't ever talk crap about the Halloween series and then go on to say that F13 series is better. That's hilarious considering it's a Halloween clone in every way imaginable.

Anyway, I like Rob Zombie's movies but I really hope he doesn't further f*** up the Halloween series. H20 was meh and Resurrection was just... well... Busta Rhymes. This movie is coming out August 31 so we'll get to see it soon.

Also, the picture over at IMDB looks really stupid.

Hey, I'm not going to argue that Friday the 13th didn't have some sh*tty movies because it did. That aside, I found Halloween to be a stupid movie.

This movie sucked hard.

This movie sucked hard.

I love the Halloween series and all but I'm glad to hear that. I haven't seen it and probably won't unless I feel like downloading it because I think they should just let this damn thing die already. I'm so sick of every single horror movie being remade. Texas Chainsaw Massacre got remade like twice in 2 years and they were the same exact thing!

It was awful. Alot worse than I expected it to be. It was just 2 hours of crap and blood...and boobies.
