September 22, 200718 yr Allagash Tripel Reserve. Anything Three Floyds. Anything Dogfish Head. Rogue Shakespeare Stout. Rogue Chocolate Stout. ever heard of St. Sebesttiann(I know I spelled that wrong, but it has an odd spelling) ale? Three floyds might be the only one I haven't had. They have Rogue dead man too... St. Bernardus Abt 12?
September 22, 200718 yr I just bought myself three pints of Duvel that I am currently chilling as we speak. I hope to enjoy them tomorrow when I have people over. Duvel is a GREAT beer to pair with steak instead of wine. Big fan!

September 22, 200718 yr Either of you guys try this yet? I've heard good things but it seems the closest distributors are a bit out of the way. they have that on tap at PRL, the bar I just got back from. :thumbup good stuff, but just so many other great choices I rarely go for that.
September 22, 200718 yr BTW, this is the beer St. Sebestiaan I was asking you about, yankeefan. I didn't try it since you didn't know it, but maybe next time...
September 22, 200718 yr Happy Oktoberfest everyone! I'll be here at 1pm today http://www.loreleynyc.com/ I can taste the Spaten Oktoberfest now. Prost!
September 22, 200718 yr I'll be here at 1pm today http://www.loreleynyc.com/ :| *jealous* I'll be painting... BUT I *DO* have a Spaten Oktoberfest to raise up later! :thumbup BTW, this is the beer St. Sebestiaan I was asking you about, yankeefan. I didn't try it since you didn't know it, but maybe next time... I've never tried it. I looked it up and two of the guys with most similar tastes to mine gave it 3's. Clearly, there are better Belgian Strong Ales to be had, my friend! *cough* *CHIMAY* *cough*
September 22, 200718 yr Sorry for my pedestrian beer likes but I was saddened to find out you can not get Yuengling down here =(
September 22, 200718 yr Sorry for my pedestrian beer likes but I was saddened to find out you can not get Yuengling down here =( That's because the South stinks. :lol I'm sure you can find a beer distributor that will get it for you. Not as easy as hitting the local supermarket but it will work.
September 22, 200718 yr Yeah, I was thinking that but was just too lazy to go for it but I will hit up your advise. It's a bit of a shame though. Maybe it's because my hometown is about 20 minutes from the brewery but I think Yuengling is one of the best values for a quality beer you can find.

September 23, 200718 yr Back to the real beers for a minute, I did a retest of Youngs Double Chocolate Stout. Oh man. I remember liking this beer, but it is really an AMAZING beer! Sweet, chocolatey, creamy, delicious! This is one of those beers that's pretty easy to find and tastes incredible. If you are ever looking for a dessert beer, do yourself a favor and grab one of these! :thumbup
September 23, 200718 yr I would like to report that day 1 of oktoberfest was a success. I had 2 liters of Spaten Oktoberfest and 2 liters of HB oktoberfest. Then I had a little of something else. I was in bed by 11:15pm Also a funny story. I had a backpack on me since it had my cloths for the weekend. Well my brother decided to take a stein from the place. Well I thought he had only taken one, but when I got on the bus to go to jersey I realized he had taken four! Then somehow I ended up selling one of them to a stranger on the bus (I was drunk). I woke up this morning laughing because I had sold stolen goods.
September 25, 200718 yr HO-LY KRAPPE! I just finished an entire pint of Delerium Nocturnum and that stuff kicked me square in the liver! It was a pretty good beer at first sip, then it evolved into a complex and tasty beer, then it became a beer I simply needed to finish because I couldn't let a drop go to waste! I'll need to sleep on this one before rating. All I can say is DAYUM!
September 25, 200718 yr On the 8th day God created Spaten Had the Spaten yesterday and was kind of dissapointed. It was OK this year, but nothing magical. I was VERY happy to have my Youngs Double Chocolate Stout the other night, though. As I said earlier, I simply forgot how good that beer was. If you like stouts, man, you have GOT to give that stuff a try!

If you like stouts, man, you have GOT to give that stuff a try! My spaten was on draft, that probably made a difference. I think this weekend I am going to the place with the 700 beers. I want to try some new stuff. So far though my favorite stout is Thirsty Dog's Siberian Night Imperial stout.

I'll need to sleep on this one before rating. All I can say is DAYUM! How ironic! I just bought a pint of Delirium myself yesterday. I also have a Chimay Blue waiting for me as well. :thumbup That's what I love about the pints. As soon as you pop em, you gotta go all the way. :o That is an awesome twosome right there! Try the Delirium first. You will enjoy it much more than if you had to follow the Chimay. Chimay Blue is easily among my top 3 beers EVER.
September 25, 200718 yr Oh, I've sampled them before already. I'm just revisiting them. Have you tried the St. Bernardus Abt 12 or Three Philosophers yet?
September 25, 200718 yr Oh, I've sampled them before already. I'm just revisiting them. I revisited a couple of beers this weekend and today. I have a BUNCH tha I have never rated before so I am adding them to my ratebeer.com com catalogue for posterity. That's where I stood with the Delirium.
