Lowell - contact hitter Lee - Good D Enc Cabrera Conine- Contact hitter Hate to tell you but Enc is not as dangerous hitter as Cabrera, is not a smart hitter (swings at first pitches too often in wrong situations and takes pitches in situations where you should be looking for first ball, fastball).............plus I would not expect Enc to be back next year! There may be more to the situation as well but I do not expect to see him unless it is late in a game.
October 13, 200322 yr I think he'd have Conine at 1B, & put Carny back in RF. Lee's stellar defensively, but Niner's played plenty of 1B and Lee is batting a hall-of-fame-like .184 for the playoffs. (higher only than Alex's pathetic .091 average. Hopefully that means these guys are due... I don't think it'll happen though. McKeon will go for defense. With Prior pitching, we'll need to hold them. ...and why do you not expect Encarnacion to be back next year?
