October 12, 200322 yr lineup JP Luis Pudge Cabs DLee Lowell Conine Sea Bass pitcher WHO IS MISSING? god dammit Jack, you are really pissing me off Enc went yard on Zambrano a couple of days ago.... I am pissed
October 12, 200322 yr Well, at least Cabs is hitting 4th. (Great minds think alike eh?) And I second the fact that Enc should be back in the lineup, somehow.

October 12, 200322 yr Author At least Cabs is in the 4 hole. Smart move. too bad he combats the smart move with a horrible move he leaves DLee and Sea Bass in for defensive reason but takes out a player who makes no errors, has a gun and HIT A f***ING HR OFF ZAMBRANO 5 DAYS AGO
October 12, 200322 yr I would've preferred benching Lee. Conine at 1st, Lowell at 3rd, and Cabs in LF with Enc staying in RF but alright.
October 12, 200322 yr Bench lee?we've been winning wit him, trust me lee's gonna have a very good game today and so are the marlins!
October 12, 200322 yr I'd rather have Enc's glove and bat in there than Lee's glove and... and... well the wooden thing he carries to the plate.
October 12, 200322 yr I would've preferred benching Lee. Conine at 1st, Lowell at 3rd, and Cabs in LF with Enc staying in RF but alright. You CANNOT bench Lee and play Gonzalez. That the most obsurd thing I've ever heard. Lee gives you more offense, and don't tell me it's for defense, because Lee is a better defender! Makes no sense to play A-Gon and bench Lee. None at all.

Smart move. too bad he combats the smart move with a horrible move he leaves DLee and Sea Bass in for defensive reason but takes out a player who makes no errors, has a gun and HIT A f***ING HR OFF ZAMBRANO 5 DAYS AGO SS is a harder position to play and Gonzalez is AMAZING at it. Don't worry Ramp I'm sure that Enc will be put in later in the game. Either way, Conine, Cabs, and Lowell MUST be kept in the lineup. It's much easier to put Cabs in LF than it is to start him at SS. I like Cabs at cleanup, but I wish that our better hitters were all clumped together in the lineup to put more pressure on the pitcher: Pierre Castillo Pudge Cabs Lowell Conine 6 guys in a row that can REALLY hurt you, no breaks in between.
October 12, 200322 yr Makes no sense to play A-Gon and bench Lee. None at all. Except that putting Cabs at SS is more of a risk than putting Conine at 1st... Aren't we at the point where we need to take said risks?
October 12, 200322 yr Makes no sense to play A-Gon and bench Lee. None at all. Except that putting Cabs at SS is more of a risk than putting Conine at 1st... How so? We put him in there a few nights ago, so we must have some confidence in him playing there. And i guarentee you he takes balls at SS, 3B, LF and RF EVERYDAY.
October 12, 200322 yr I agree with Cabs moving to the clean-up spot...But I would have Encarnacion in right,Cabs at short,TH in left and Conine at first. Then If we have a lead late we can put Gonzalez at SS,Lee at first and Conine back in left. Encarnacion should be in the line-up above all.
October 12, 200322 yr Lee gives you more offense oh brother Don't take my quote out of context. You can't sit here and tell me that ALEX GON-FREAKIN-ZALEZ gives you more offense than Derrek Lee, a 90 RBI 30 HR hitter.
October 12, 200322 yr You can't sit here and tell me that ALEX GON-FREAKIN-ZALEZ gives you more offense than Derrek Lee, a 90 RBI 30 HR hitter. Well... in one way, yea... Gonzo had a much better first half than DLee, plus DLee only did well in September.

Gonzo had a much better first half than DLee, plus DLee only did well in September. The first half of the season has no relevance now. Right now, Gonzalez has trouble making contact in batting practice. And even if Lee doesn't hit the ball, he can get on base by walking. Something Gonzalez definately doesn't do. And when Lee gets on base, he's a threat to steal. Something Gonzalez isn't.

IF Yea, IF he doesn't hit the ball, he can still get on base. IF he hits the ball, we're in that much better shape. Either way, having Lee in the line-up is better than having Gonzalez in it in EVERY aspect. Offense and defense.
