April 20, 200719 yr Roster Moves: RHP Sergio Mitre placed on 15-day DL (retro April 18) with blister on right middle finger. RHP Scott Tyler recalled from Double-A Carolina.
April 20, 200719 yr hmmm... Tyler is not a starter. Who starts on Sunday then? Gregg? 23 starts in 05. He can definetly start.
April 20, 200719 yr hmmm... Tyler is not a starter. Who starts on Sunday then? Gregg? Either him or Pinto. I'd expect an announcement today either way. *Edit - or maybe the Marlins are bound and determined to keep those two in the pen and will continue to trot out these minor league arms until our rotation is healthy again.
April 20, 200719 yr I think he's only up until sunday when we demote him for either Obermueller or another starter...
April 20, 200719 yr Scott Tyler was called up to replace him, but the Marlins will likely bring in someone else when they need to replace Mitre on Sunday. Veterans Wes Obermueller and Chris George are candidates, as is top prospect Gaby Hernandez. Source: Rotoworld Tyler got the call cause he was already on the 40-man roster....the Fish have one spot left on the 40-man
April 21, 200719 yr no control You could be talking about any number of Marlins pitchers here. :banghead
