I don't know to much about Reggie, so I'd like to ask:

 

Was he supposed to be a good prospect and is there a chance he could become a permanent starter at CF for us? Whats the deal with him overall?

Reggie was a very good prospect with the Dodgers, got hurt early on. Eventually released. Went to Arizona. Released. Then we got him.

 

He has ridiculous talent but never has put it together. His 7 week stint in AAA is the best he has ever done, save for his 2nd year in LA(single A).

 

Probably doesn't have a future with us unless things really start to click

My take: Reggie is a 5 tool guy in every sense of the word BUT (there's always a but) he hasnt really been able to put it all together yet for an extended period of time.

 

He's been more effective lately (or at least it seems that way) because he's been getting more PT and he's been hitting early in the order.

 

 

And he hit this MONSTER shot in Cincy. lol

He has all 5 tools, but he's never really put them all together.

Reggie was awful in extended play with the team last year. Couldn't hit a lick. His defense was awful as well. He's improved quite a bit. He looks more patient at the plate this year, and he's not a sucker for high heat or low and away curve like last year. His defense is also much improved. In fact, I'd say he's the most improved player on the team. Let's hope he keeps it up, or gets even better. He does have all the tools.
