Padres Acquire Morgan Ensberg

Featured Replies

The Padres have acquired Morgan Ensberg from the Astros, ESPN's Buster Olney reports.

- Rotoworld.

guess they realized kouzmanoff wasn't very good

neither is ensberg.

Pads must have stopped watching in '05.

Might be a good player to have come off the bench. The Padres were looking to upgrade that aspect of their team.

Kouz will be a real nice player, he's just inconsistent at the moment.

Hell, you take out his horrific May (.354 OPS ouch) and he has a 273/347/486/833 line. Higher OPS then MLB average for 3B's (.775).

Holy balls, Morgan Ensberg walked in 16% of his at bats last year. Thats amazing.

Was just getting ready to post something similiar.. 101 BBs to 96 Ks in '05. Ridiculous. too bad he hit .235

2 homeruns tonight...guess he doesn't suck anymore.

Yes, because we know that one day projects the rest of your career...

But hell, as an Astros fan, I wish him all the luck in the world and I hope he does really turn it around. He gave us some good years. Even if he does do good, who knows if he would have done well with the Stros. Sometimes a change of scenery will do that to a player.
