The Bourne Ultimatum

Featured Replies

Synopsis: Rogue agent Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is still being hunted by the very people at the CIA that transformed him into a killer. Still suffering from amnesia and determined to finally learn of his true identity, he is lured out of hiding to make contact with a journalist named Simon Ross (Paddy Considine), who has been following his story. Throughout his research, Ross has gathered up valuable information about Bourne and Treadstone, the organization that trained him. That?s rather inconvenient for Noah Vosen (David Strathairn), who is looking to start up a new organization under the codename Blackbriar that would follow in Treadstone?s footsteps. With intent to kill Bourne and the journalist before they expose the program?s embarrassing secrets, he sends agent Pam Landy (Joan Allen) to lead the search effort. Simultaneously, Paz (Edgar Ramirez), one of the remaining few living Treadstone assassins, is dispatched to take both Bourne and Ross out. In order to finally learn of his true origins and find some inner peace, Bourne will have to evade, outsmart, and outmaneuver the deadliest group of highly-trained killers yet.

Trailer came out today, so I thought a thread was in order.

I can't believe this made it into a triology.

The books were a trilogy too, and the movies so far have been really good so I'm not surprised.

^ What he said plus these make money.

There have been far lesser movies that have been made in to trilogies or series. The 2nd was better to me then the 1st.

Definetly. And it had that awesome car chase scene. That was seriously one of the best chase scenes I've ever seen.

i agree...i didnt read the books...but im kinda glad they killed off his girl...anyways...cant wait for this one now

i wasn't necessarily implying it's a bad thing, i'm just surprised because when i think of triologies i think of like epics. i wasn't aware of the books though so i guess it does make sense. good for matt damon.

I've read that the only thing they've taken from the books is esentially the basic premise and the titles. Besides that they made their own storylines. I haven't read the novels so I don't know for sure but that is what I've read.

Don't think I've seen a thread on this movie... but wow, what a kickass flick. Best one of the three.

I spelled ultimatum wrong in the search thing.. no wonder i couldnt find it.

If by "best one of the three" you mean the worse one of the three then yes, i agree with you.

I guess I'll just post in this thread and not the old one.

Anyway, saw it tonight. Not much of a storyline, but still it was pretty awesome. Maybe the best movie of the year for me so far. These movies are just so much smarter than the typical spy/action movies that are made these days. Even the last Bond movie, which most people agree was a step in the right direction, had nothing on this. And a car chase in Manhattan? That's ballsy. I can't remember seeing that before. I'm sure this will finish in my Top 10 at the end of the year.

those fight scenes were amazing... me and my friends still go crazy talking about the fight in the stair case early in the movie and the "book" fight in the bathroom. that whole fight was insane, the car chase in new york...

the scene in the office where he tells that man "i doubt that... because if you were in your office we'd be having this conversation face to face". omg i loved every minute of it. :notworthy
