September 26, 200718 yr Two guys have alcohol related run ins and suddenly partying is a priority for anyone who takes the mound for the Marlins? Interesting logic. 2 guys had run-ins with the law. There is a large handful of players on this team that are out drinking constantly. Just because they're not being arrested doesn't mean that they aren't out partying and showing up to the ballpark the next day tired and/or not feeling well. Being blind enough to not look past only media reports....nice logic. I'd prefer people looking only at media reports than essentially making sh*t up.
September 26, 200718 yr i think dtrain stands to benefit the most from kranitz leaving... he seemed like almost a completely different pitcher under kranitz's watch. the new coach must be able to work with dtrain's funky delivery... in my opinion mark wiley would be the best for that.
September 26, 200718 yr apparently wiley and rosenthal are at the top of the list... good. palmbeachpost.com

It's all first hand information from a source I won't name. Media reports are a joke. Wait until Olsen heads to court and you'll see what I mean. So much is withheld from the media that it's disguisting. There is a large handful of pitchers AND position players that have a serious problem going out frequently and showing up to the ballpark the next day hungover. That's not the best way to perform at your highest level if you ask me. I'm sure this is a problem for other teams as well, not just the Marlins. It has to be hard for these younger guys to make this kind of money and not want to go out and have a good time. The problem with that is when it starts having an adverse effect on what you're getting paid to do.

Even if this is true, the position players haven't been affected offensively.
September 27, 200718 yr Mazzone and Gonzalez where together in Atlanta, that can help the issue. Rosenthal would be my favorite choice though.

There is no way you can not think the team was a bit "foggy" last Friday after that emotional win Thursday. Especially Miggy. And it definetly hasn't been the first time this year, or last year. The answer would be better veteran leadership in the club house. These are a bunch of kids (I am getting so tired of making that excuse) and because of that think they are invincible and can do whatever they want with no ill effects. It simply isn't true and something that they need to learn.
