October 3, 200719 yr I am unable to gather much enthusiasm or optimism for the upcoming Heat season, nor am I able to understand why anyone would want to watch their preseason games. My guess is Sunshine will have a couple of them. As for the Heat, I spent much time last year arguing that the Heat did not have a fundamental flaw, except for perhaps their inability to stay healthy. Now I'm pretty convinced that their inability to stay healthy is indeed a fundamental flaw and pretty much an undeniable truth at this point. Jason Williams will never be healthy, Shaq will never stay healthy, and D-Wade will always be injury prone. Unless Dorrell Wright has learned how to hit a jumper, we're pretty much screwed.

The team's raving about it (he's been playing with them for about a month now, something he hasn't done). Do I think that alone is good enough for us to cruise? No, but if Wade's out for 3 weeks and we've got the big fella ready to make sure we get off to a fast start...

Anyways, in other Heat news, our favorite player is yet again being held out of practice because he showed up to camp out of shape. Way to be Antoine.
October 3, 200719 yr im thinking its best if we kept walker because its gotten to the point where its not basketball season in Miami unless we're cursing that man's name. i know "f***ing walker", "Toine NOOOOOO!!!" and "youre f***ing garbage!!!" has become a regular part of my vocabulary.
October 3, 200719 yr Didnt acquire any key players?!?!?! We got Penny Hardaway. He was great about 10 years ago with shaq, and now they are reunited. I see him maybe winning the MVP this year.

The Heat had a midnight practice last night. Walker isnt the only one not allowed into camp because of conditioning. Smush Parker and someone else I dont remember did too.
