Beckett was solid considering he had such irregular rest inbetween innings he probably would have been much more effective with a more rhythmic game.

 

Offense did a good job making the game Gagne proof.

That game was the total opposite of what the Red Sox were in the second half of the season: Winning ugly, manufacturing runs, tons of hits, walks and errors w/RISP.

 

And this against C.C. Sabathia.

 

The question is, can they repeat it against Fausto Carmona?

I like the Sox, but I have to think Carmona makes a statement in Game 2.
