October 17, 200718 yr i thought we had a great draft this year...just because our vets are sucking it up, doesnt mean the kids are at fault...especially when you look at how many picks were spent on the offensive side of the ball ? ! ? ! ? ! ? ! ? ! ? ?!?!?!?!?!?...your point? Great draft???? future solid/above average wr, future QB who can make all the throws and is a smart guy, staring center, 3rd down and eventually back up running back, and i think abe wright is gonna be a beast...i wouldnt call that too bad...but i still think mueller isnt that great of a gm...but he and cam better prove me wrong Yeah but anyone can say their draft is a success if based on future. Beck hasn't done anything yet. Let's not annoint him a good pick yet. Ginn is a bust so far IMO. You contradicted yourself. You can't call Beck a success yet because it is too early but you also can't call Ginn a bust yet for the same reason. Big difference. WR doesn't require the grooming that QB does. Not true. Go look at the stats of the top WR's in the league and none of them played well their first seasons, with the exception of Randy Moss, who possibly is the greatest player of all time. This year there is Dwayne Bowe League top recievers that have done well their first year: Anquan Boldin Andre Johnson Admin Fitzgerald Roy Williams There are also a ton of top recievers who put up mediocre numbers their first years, but Ginn is not even close to putting up medicore numbers. Remember that my point was that so far he is a bust. I'm not saying he is destined to be a bust or that we should be done with him. Perhaps forcing a bigger role on him will be the difference. But as it stands, he was drafted his first year under the intention of making an impact in the return game with some value in the recieving game. He has neither made an impact in the return game nor provided any value in the recieving game even with chances to do so. Beck is still in training and there was never any vision of him playing a role this season beyond learning.
October 17, 200718 yr BTW with Chambers salary taken off the Phins hands they will have alot of money next year. Before the trade I remember hearing they were going to be 22 Mill under the cap next year before cuts. Should be more after this trade now. Just hope they dont give 20 million to Joey Porter again.
October 17, 200718 yr chambers is a number 2 WR paid like a number 1 He was worth most likely about a 4th, we got a good deal here. So I am happy
October 18, 200718 yr 4) I hope this doesn't lead to the departure of Zach or Jason. They are the heart and soul of this team, and if you trade them you might as well tell the fans to stay home. Players like that with their history and impact on the game are what fill seats and the Fins need to make sure they continue doing that because next year will be better. I think most fans are ready to move on. I know I am. I just want the team to get better, and the best way to do that, besides drafting well, is drafting more. I want ZT and JT to want to be traded, though; otherwise, I don't want to trade them. As for their heart and soul, they're the heart and soul of a horrendous team, and realistically, as long as they remain in a Dolphins uni, that will be the case until they retire. It would be sweet if they got traded together...
