San Diego has acquired wide receiver Chris Chambers from the Miami Dolphins for what it believed a second-round draft choice, FOXSports.com has learned.

 

Chambers confirmed the trade in an email to FOXSports, but declined further comment until speaking with Dolphins coach Cam Cameron and general manager Randy Mueller.Chambers has 31 catches for 415 yards with no touchdowns this season.

I don't really care. We suck at drafting players, I don't know what everyone is all excited about it.

I'm excited because it seems like we're finally thinking long-term and rebuilding. No more trying to pull off some kind of miracle with what we currently have. Sometimes you have to go backwards before you go forwards.

i thought we had a great draft this year...just because our vets are sucking it up, doesnt mean the kids are at fault...especially when you look at how many picks were spent on the offensive side of the ball

Lemons is decent enough for this year. I am somewhat encouraged that he can be a solid backup QB in this league. Listen, the fact is that this year simply doesn't matter. It's over. We are building up for next year, which is what I was hoping to see.

 

Porter was a horrible signing, can't wait until we release him. I'd love to see us trade Jason Taylor and ZT today too. And just because we have drafted poorly recently, doesn't mean we shouldn't be accumulating draft picks.
