November 3, 200718 yr So Brian Cashman compared us to the Cleveland Browns, with Girardi being Belichick. Up yours Cashman. I believe you suffer from amnesia. Certainly an ironic comparison, all things considered (and I'm not talking '03). '03 is the obvious thing -- what else are you talking? That the Belichik Browns had a reviled owner and are now the Baltimore Ravens. On the same token, I don't think Art Modell hated Bill Belichick quite as much as Jeffrey Loria hated Joe Girardi.
November 4, 200718 yr so how long before the facial hair ban hits the Yankee clubhouse???? It started there and is still there, you should know that......
November 4, 200718 yr I'm looking for a vulture outfit. I'm going to take my nephew trick-or-treating dressed up as Joe Girardi. :thumbup :banghead :banghead :banghead What? That's the only reason he worked for YES, was to wait for Joe Torre to go. (BTW: I was going to dress as Joe Girardi. He was dressing as Harry Potter.) Anyway, :lol at Girardi to take #27, as in wanting to lead the Yanks to their 27th title. What, his own #25 wasn't good enough? Jason Giambi wears #25. please forgive him, he is the typical knowledgeable S florida baseball fan, like the guy seated behind me who said to his kid that Kaz Matsui's brother plays for the Yankees....

Ive been to sporting events in many cities, including New York, and never have I saw through a game where I didnt hear people around me talking and finally have to turn around and correct everything they've said because I couldnt stand having the thought in my head any longer of "HOLY sh*t THAT IS THE DUMBEST THING ANY HUMAN COULD EVER THINK OR SPEAK ALOUD".... It happens EVERYWHERE and if you arent aware of that you are either 1) a fool, 2) a fool who has never been to games anywhere else or 3) somebody who just wanted to make a statement and ignore everything else he knows.

Mets fans are the worst at this.
