Anyone pick up this masterpiece of a game today? I don't remember a game being so fun in a long time. This just might be the best platformer since 1996.

if you asked me up until two days ago, i would have said i didn't have a wii. don't have any other games yet, but i'll see if eb games has a good deal.

 

i may pick up galaxy when it comes out in the next few days.

My copy will be in tomorrow, along hopefully with Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. That's just too much gaming goodness over the holidays!!! :thumbup

Braved a 12-mile bike ride in the rain to get my copy of Super Mario Galaxy today, and it was well worth it. This game is just pure fun to play.

Not so true. I work at a national retail chain and it is still the top question. Do you have any Wii?

I want this game so bad, but with the holidays, I'm going to try and refrain from buying any games until after Christmas.

just bought the game yesterday and i've played a good 10-15 hours so far. WOW! what a game. incredibly fun, I just can't put it down.

 

basically i've been drinking by myself and playing this game... (I have an exucse though, my girl went home for the holidays already and I don't leave until the 24th, haha! basically everyone in DC is gone already)

 

anyway, awesome game....has there ever been a bad mario game? Mario Bros 2 for SNES comes to mind...i never had a gamecube so i dunno how the mario platform was for that system. but the traditonal mario, Super Mario 3, Super Mario World, all of the mario gameboy games, Mario64 and Galaxy are pure gold....these people really know what they are doing, what a fantastic series

the best part is after 120 stars, you can play as luigl. of course, he has bad traction, but can jump higher than mario. makes for a different experience playing the game again.

 

 

and don't rip on sunshine, it's a very good (and very hard) game.

But my favorite mario is still Mario 3. But New! Super Mario Bros. on the DS is right behind it.

Just got it for Christmas, and I've completed 3 stars already. I know thats nothing, but it's a start.
