I don't know about you, but if I'm in the playoffs I'd start Jeter over Bonds any day.

I'd rather have Bonds than Jeter over a 162-game season just because of the offense he generates - OPS and all that. There comes a time when you just have to go with the statistics.

 

Also, Zito/Hudson/Mulder have to deal with a terrible offense, worse than the Marlins.

 

Now, shutting out the Yankees is great, and I expect Beckett will be a Clemens-type over the course of his career (although I'm pissed that he wasn't this good in 2002, when I had him in my fantasy league. Stupid blisters), but you have to get a full-season 90% injury free, to make a proper evaluation. At this point, Prior and the Oakland trio have him beat.

 

BTW, regular season performance shouldn't be discounted, because it does determing if you get the opportunity to play in the post-season.
