May 22, 200818 yr Roundups are back! BTW, who is this kid Kyle Kaminska? I heard he was dominating yesterday. 19 y/o RHP drafted in the 25th round out of Central HS in Naperville Ill threw 6 innings of no-hit ball. Had previously allowed 11 runs in 9 inninings. He is listed at 6-4 180. He actually was cut after spring training this year but was called for a spot start http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/news/ar...b&fext=.jsp

Like cut from the organization, as in any other team could claim him? Somehow I doubt that. Marlins have always really like him and spend a decent amount of change to get him to skip college. EDIT: I read the article, and what I take it to mean is that the Marlins wanted to hold him back in extended spring training and start him out in short season ball, which starts in about a month or so.

He did not make any full season roster...I think u r right Godfather

Kyle was in extended Spring training - not cut. Much of the Short Season roster for the 2008 Jamestown team this year, who did not initially make a full season team, is still in Jupiter playing a quasi GCL schedule in which they do not keep stats. Durand & recently Sanabia were both called up from extended ST-they were not cut either. The article was kind of misleading how it was worded & used the word "cut." That is often times the problem with assuming everything you read on the internet as fact. This site is very accurate because you have multiple sources. That is why I love reading it.

Thanks for the clarification. :thumbup BTW: Have you heard any names of who might be looking impressive in the extended ST?
May 22, 200818 yr Sanabia was throwing well all spring (they just moved him up to Greensboro). I hear Paulauskas (7th rounder) is throwing very well now. Keep an eye on Martin, Benjamin IMO. There are a couple "south of the border guys" too but I did not catch their names since they got there kind of late. Extended is over May 31 & then many will be heading for Jamestown. Usually that roster gets announced right before the draft.
