May 22, 200818 yr That's not really true either. He can spot guys in the infield. Third, shortstop, second base...... I doubt a guy like Helms is back next year. Its not their style to retain so called "stop gap" players.

Actually, I would argue we would have a better use for him once Maybin is ready. Being able to play every position but C and P is kinda useful.

May 22, 200818 yr I love how when Hanley goes into a slump (which has nothing to do with where he bats in the order) all the lead-off advocates suddenly reappear out of the dark. Didn't hear a peep out of them during that 7 game winning-streak. Where were you for those first 9 games he hit third?
May 22, 200818 yr I don't agree with Fredi giving him the day off versus Webb. If he wanted to do it, it should have been yesterday or tomorrow versus Haren. What signal does it send to the team to give the day off to your best hitter when facing the hottest pitcher in baseball? Evidently the right one. Now let's see how Hanley comes back from it.

At one game that we stayed at the stadium to see the players at the gate cause the people I was with were trying to get autographs; the one person driving a Bentley, was Reggie Abercrombie. I'm sure it had to be a rental though. But still it was rather entertaining. Then seeing BK roll out in an old Montero. lol
