I've been contemplating some trades, here are some ideas I'm throwing out here...

 

Encarnacion:

 

To Yankees with others for Nick Johnson.

 

Lee:

 

To Atlanta for Jason Marquis/Mark DeRosa.

To Los Angeles for Odalis Perez and ?

To San Fransisco for Robb Nen.

 

Redman:

 

To San Fransisco for ?

To Texas for ?

To Baltimore for ?

To Cincinatti for ?

 

Lowell:

 

To Yankees for Nick Johnson and others (possibly money?)

To Los Angeles for Odalis Perez and others (again, money?)

Thoughts on these? Just somesmall ideas. If anyone else has any ideas of their own, feel free...

1. Why are you looking to deal Redman?

2. Why would you want Odalys Perez? He'll likely cost more than Big Red.

what about Soriano, i hear the Yankees want to get rid of him and i think he costs less than a million (for now). if Encarnacion is traded or whatever you could put Soriano in the OF like the Yankees were thinking or of course put him at 2nd

The Yanks are crazy if they let him go.....i doubt we will go for him. too much money.

dont know by how much it will increase though, but it wouldnt hit $3 million i think this year although i dont really know

Soriano has played 3 full years with the Yankees, which I think makes him arbitration eligible. I'd imagine with his offensive numbers, that's going to be close to $3 million.

If we ended up with Nick Johnson at first base I wouldn't complain.

I know trading Lowell would make fans angry but how about we trade him to the Yanks( :banghead :thumbdown :confused ) for NIck Johnson and then we have Cabrera at 3b Alex at SS Castillo at 2b n Johnson at 3b. Conine LF Pierre CF and RF???

I hope now that Willis and Cabrera worked out, fans and management won't be clamoring to bring guys up too early. For every Dontrelle Willis, there's a Joe Fontenot.

Yankees aren't going to trade Soriano because they want to DH Williams and put Soriano in the outfield. But I would want Soriano anyways, that slump he was in during the playoffs was atrocious, and I think personally that was more than a slump, and will have a long term affect on his offensive production.
