July 13, 200817 yr The problem I have with people comparing is I am sure most of you haven't played them on a 1080p tv with HDMI cables. I have and you can not believe the different. It is unbelievable. My personal tv is only 720p and at that it is a little harder to see, but 360 only has 720p and some games 1080i capability, while all PS3 games are able to be viewed in 1080p. It does make a huge difference. That's not true, MANY ps3 games are 720p only and if you're TV can't upscale them (like mine unfortunately) you are screwed and have to view the games in 480p. It's actually a huge issue with the ps3 as you can see here: http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstatio...ding&page=1 The 360 will upscale and downscale any game to your TV's resolution which makes the games look much better on my TV. Besides, the thread was never about which system to buy, leave the guy alone with his choice. As for buying a used/refurbished system. If I was you, I would contact Microsoft and find out if they will honor their 3 year RROD warranty with a used system. If not, it may be worth it to buy an extended warranty for the system just for peace of mind.
July 13, 200817 yr I don't know why 360 owners feel the need to get into a pissing contest regarding PS3 and 360 -- they're both great systems and you can't go wrong with either. This, though I prefer my 360, that's just personal preference, I would go as far as saying though, in terms of overall value vs price, the 360 beats the PS3 by a little margin... if you have the extra cash and whatnot, get the PS3, but if you're looking for a solid system, can't miss with the 360
July 13, 200817 yr Uncharted Game of the Year? Last year was Mario Galaxy. Which year are you referring to? '07 -- should have re-phrased that, PS3 game of the year. http://bestof.ign.com/2007/ps3/24.html
July 13, 200817 yr Oh stop it with the pissing contest already. If you want to play halo and gears of war = x360 if you want to play Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid 4 = PS3 Whatever you like. But personally i wouldnt buy a refurbished system, 360 or ps3.
July 13, 200817 yr I have had good luck buying refurbished items. But I don't go to refurbdepot. I go directly to the manufacturer's site to look for myself.

Especially since the 360 has the HD cables included. PS3 comes with regular component cables unless you buy them. I just prefer the ps3 and was recommending the ps3, but like I said 360 has caused me no problems, I just use it less. They all have the ups. 360: Live -- price PS3: Graphics -- other functions Wii: Fun
July 14, 200817 yr 360 ownz the sh*t out of the PS3. The exclusives are MUCH better and for multi-platform games, you don't have to do any stupid ass installing of the game on your hard drive. The installing takes 2 minutes and cuts load times down to nothing. And the lack of good exclusives is bulls***, you have no idea what you're talking about: -- Resistance Fall of Man: my favorite PS3 game, the campaign and online are freaking amazing. -- Uncharted: IGN Game of the Year -- Metal Gear Solid 4: worth buying the system alone for -- GT 5 Prologue -- Ratchet and Clank -- The Show baseball series (the best baseball series out there IMO) And there's so many great titles coming out soon: -- Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII -- GT5 -- Resistance 2 -- Driver I don't know why 360 owners feel the need to get into a pissing contest regarding PS3 and 360 -- they're both great systems and you can't go wrong with either. Now coming to 360.
