No, but you usually win games because you are above average with RISP. And if your pitching doesn't give up 6 runs.

That said, she asked if we can ever do anything with RISP, and I answered. Simple as that.

I responded to your answer simple as that even when your hitters leave 10 men on base.

I am just going to throw this out there for the sake of the future.

The SP was bad, the batters were once again bad.

The Bullpen is solid! :mischief

this game sucked. the bright spots were the bullpen, cantu, and willingham. THe bullpen has been great the last week, besides ryan tucker. Cantu continues to own, and willingham had a good day today against one of the leagues better pitchers.

After All star break, we are bottom of team avg in MLB.

Not to mention that we have the 3rd worst starters ERA in the 2nd half. We've played very badly this week.

Great game. We just got the short end of the stick. They made plays on D, we did not. They got some breaks, we did not. What are you gonna do? That's baseball.

Good to see the bat's starting to come around.

One less walk by Scotty, one play by Gonzo, and minus a DeRosa webjem we win this game.

I agree...aint the end of the world. We are back to 2 down from first, we'll be back up there again, I'll put my money on it. I figure this may be a tough series, I'm hoping for a good 2-2, and then slap the Mets silly (I hope), but I'm sure this isn't the start of some downward spiral into Oblivion. Just need to get the bats working, and the SP up and running again.

I'd still argue that the pitching was worse. Bats scored 3 runs, which is near average. Olsen gave up 6 runs, which is failure.

is there any bat you people are hearing we are going afteer

I hope/wish (wow cubs fans on FSN = stupid) we get another bat.

jacobs and thompson for nady and have nady play first. that would make this team so much better

3 RPG is around what the Marlins have done since the break.

So then you must expect the SP to come out with "quality starts" every time they pitch. As much as I would like to see it happen (it wont)

I'll be VERY happy with a split considering the Cubs are great at home.

We will win at least 1 no doubt.

The Cubs bullpen looked similar to the Marlins bullpen (first half)

(IMO)

I don't. But we have had ONE quality start. Not 2, not 4, but 1 in the last 7, and that was Josh Johnson.

This team has been bad in it's entirety this week.

I agree Rab. It's been a combined effort by the Marlins (to suck)

I dont expect it to continue and seeing how the Marlins have come this far, it would be silly to press the Panic Button.

Plus the Hammer had a couple hits tonight that was nice to see!
