7/24 Post Game

Featured Replies

At least today was a bit more exciting.

The last 3 games (before today) were boring.

Today was kind of frustrating tho. :banghead

I do believe (SOME) of the hitters may be coming around example (Josh Willingham)

The Cubs defense won this game (IMO)

1. Why the f*** do our pitchers seem to think it's ok to give up so many runs in a game?

2. That Derossa (SP?) guy needs to catch a grenade.

3. Our offense had their bats up their ass yet again.

Can this team EVER do anything with RISP?

No, the team can't hit since the all-star break it's a problem that has just dragged on.

Its unfortunate.

the bats have to be more consistent, and we need to just get on a grove, they have been dead.

80% for Olsen.

20% for horrible RISP

Olsen gave up a 2-0 lead, its unfortunate.

The bats had plenty of chances they didnt get it done.

The Cubs defense was wonderful.

Zambrano was (O.K.) or good enough.

Sound the alarm! Here comes the downward spiral/apocalyse/descent into hell

Actually that was yesterday. ;)

So I great play stops us from tying it up in the 8th, and it is not getting it done.

Scott Olsen gives up 6 runs and it is "unfortunate"?

That's a double standard if I've ever heard one.

Great game. We just got the short end of the stick. They made plays on D, we did not. They got some breaks, we did not. What are you gonna do? That's baseball.

Good to see the bat's starting to come around.

One less walk by Scotty, one play by Gonzo, and minus a DeRosa webjem we win this game.

In all seriousness though, this series could REALLY hurt the Marlins this year. If they have a poor series, you gotta start considering the prospect of trading arbitration eligible players. I just don't think this roster of guys is good enough as it stands.

We're above average with RISP.

Having an above average RISP does not win games Rab.

Sadly, I agree.

Can't always win but in the same sense 2 GB is not a lot.

See the 2007 Phillies (but its too early to even consider that)

No, but you usually win games because you are above average with RISP. And if your pitching doesn't give up 6 runs.

That said, she asked if we can ever do anything with RISP, and I answered. Simple as that.
