August 23, 200817 yr This game was HUGE. The Mets' little winning streak is about OVER. They are due to lose games now, two games here, three games there. We can start CLIMBING BACK IN to the race, a game at a time. If we can possibly cut their lead to 3 games by the time they come in to Miami next Friday, we'll be set! Thanks for reminding me of that. Let's hope we outnumber their fans for once. And we pull ahead early in every game and stay there. Otherwise the stadium security and the cops will be having a very busy time.

I really didnt ge tot see much of the game but the beggining and end. Just happy we won. I will not go on the game thread forums untill we lose. im so superstious. Now the mets need to start losing.

August 23, 200817 yr Cody gets the game ball for me, had a great night tonight. LoDuca had the AB's I been dying to see since he was playing with the Mets in 06-07 and used to kill us driving the ball through the whole and driving in a run or moving Reyes along. Arthur Rhodes is the man, guy really helped us with his relief outing. Job well done!

August 23, 200817 yr here are the highlights from the game http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/media/video...200808233354225 was kind of late getting home - with the triple there are some metal bars above the wall and it looked like the ball banged off them a couple times while bouncing on top of the wall - ended up not mattering due to helms rhodes was awesome - was wondering why fredi waited to long on anibal who was clearly laboring - but the intentional walk to both setup the double play and bring up 2 lefties was solid and rhodes abused them
August 23, 200817 yr It's always good to stumble back home in the rain after the 90-minute train ride to your butt f*** town in Japan after drinking heavily and see that the Marlins won. It makes living in the middle of nowhere a little less depressing... at least for one night :thumbup
August 23, 200817 yr Pinto has one son, Gabriel. But not sure of his age. I missed the game but if Hammer's shot hit the top of the wall and bounced back in, it's a hit not a homer. Remember that Yankees game earlier this year when the ball rolled along the top of the wall for a bit and then fell back in?? PhxPhin is right about the ball hit by Hammer. The replays showed the ball hit the metal rail and, had instant replay been in effect, would have been a HR.
