August 23, 200817 yr I'm putting this win on the guy who I though was going to suck but did some good stuff tonight and in his last start, Paul LoDuca. Ross is 2nd only because Ducs is proving me wrong with every AB.
August 23, 200817 yr KEVIN GREGG SUCKS! HE'S NOT A CLOSER! GET HIM OUT OF THAT ROLE NOW! MATT LINDSTROM IS SO MUCH BETTER! ITS SO OBVIOUS! WHY CAN'T FREDI SEE IT? HE'S SUCH AN IDIOT! FIRE HIM! Oh wait...
August 23, 200817 yr Arthur Rhodes relief job was key It was, that's why he gets that nice, shiny W next to his name.
August 23, 200817 yr Cody ross, 3 hits and one of them a clutch homerun, and he threw out a runner at home plate to save a run.
August 23, 200817 yr This game was HUGE. The Mets' little winning streak is about OVER. They are due to lose games now, two games here, three games there. We can start CLIMBING BACK IN to the race, a game at a time. If we can possibly cut their lead to 3 games by the time they come in to Miami next Friday, we'll be set!
August 23, 200817 yr I'm becoming very happy with Baker-LoDuca as our catching combo. I think Treanor should be on the DL.
August 23, 200817 yr Dookie gets my vote. Gotta give credit to the bullpen and Anibal too. Good win tonight.
August 23, 200817 yr who will I choose for POTG?!?!?!?! Fredo? Ross? Ducs? Anibal? My dog? George? Who is george? Fred-o, or Ducs I say Ross definately gets consideration...not only did he throw out a run at the plate (game would be 5-5 now) but he had the home run (game would be 5-4) and he also had that oh so nice RBI (game would be 5-3). I know Amezega was great as well, but I think Ross inches it out.

I know. That's what I mean, bro. Today was the last day of their winning streak. Watch; you'll see. What goes up, must come down, and they are DUE to come back down to earth.
August 23, 200817 yr Huge win for the Marlins tonight!!! They showed a lot of heart. Early in the game they played small ball and then Ross went huge fly off of Rauch. The bullpen showed us what they were capable of. Everybody battled, didn't quit, and perservered and got the win. The only blemish was striking out 13 times, but a win is a win. Get em tomorrow boys!
August 23, 200817 yr I gave it to Ross, but if there was another poll, Id vote Mez!!! and usually when I say Mez, its followed by a Mezei sucks, but that will only be gotten by Panther fans haha.

That's what I'm talking about Ligero. The Mets schedule is rough for the next couple of weeks. They aren't going to sweep the Stros you know that. Then they have Philly for 2 games not to mention they have to play us right after. Then they play the Phillies again an let's not forget to mention they have the cubs and marlins in September at the end of the month-this is going to be exciting. We need to keep rollin bro and imo we'll be fine.
August 23, 200817 yr very fun game tonight - was sitting near the family of Cody Ross, so he's obviously my player of the game ......... even had a couple cody / marlin chants going throughout the game - i think it must of been his boy that they brought down to the field with him after the game and hanley stayed out on the field for a while as well was a big pocket of marlins fans in that section ross makes sense because he's from NM also a lot of LoDuca who is from the phx metro couple guys wearing jerseys of coaches a 3 generation family with a little girl in a tiny little marlins jersey also, does anyone know if pinto has a son and if so where his family lives? - a toddler who seemed to just be getting the hang of walking kept going up and down the steps of the section with a little pinto jersey on with a gold bracelet and baby jordans met up with some friends one inning and got heckled a little for being that 1 marlins fan you see at games - gently reminded them that until the d'backs sell out a playoff game they have no right to talk about attendance ....... then the fish tied it up @ 2 i haven't seen the replays, but that willingham hit sure looked like it bounced off the top of the wall all in all a great day at the park

But not sure of his age. I missed the game but if Hammer's shot hit the top of the wall and bounced back in, it's a hit not a homer. Remember that Yankees game earlier this year when the ball rolled along the top of the wall for a bit and then fell back in??
