*[i say my "sister" because we aren't biologically related, just very very close]*

Well, my sister, Maddie, found out today (well, yesterday now) that her parents are divorcing after a bit of arguing and fights. She's extremely upset and this is probably the worst time in her life for this to happen, her being only 14.

Please, everyone, keep her family in your prayers and pray that everything goes well and that they can re-think the divorce and stay together.

Sucks. No one, though, gets divorced after a bit of arguing, especially not if they've been together for that long.

Oh that sucks.

I'm going through the same thing and im 14 it's at a point where they hardly ever talk unless its bills or something like picking me up or dropping me off to games or practice.

Does this Maddie, particually go to Cypress Bay?

Because there are 7 in my grade

No, she does not.

Thank you for your response though.

That's terrible. My parents got divorced when I was just three years old. I guess you could say I was luckier though than others who had parents divorce when they were in their teens, since I was too young to really understand what was happening at the time, and I didnt have to through all of it. Anyway, sorry about your sister, and I hope she feels better soon.

my parents got divorced when I was 15. it was tough in the beginning when my dad moved out and such, but the way I began to see it is that if they are happier apart then so be it. they are both still my parents regardless of if they are married or not. now I guess the good thing about my parent's divorce is that it didn't involve any long drawn out court battle or anything like that. it was a quick thing and there was no issue with how often my dad could see me or whatever. I got to see him whenever I wanted. hopefully this girl goes through the same thing. but yeah if you talk to her about it just try to help her remember that regardless of what happens they are still her parents and wont stop being her parents.

My parents divorced when I was four and my mom and my stepdad divorced last year. Each time was very hard. I honestly don't think parents understand how kids feel when it happens. I hope your friend stays strong and gets through it.

My mom is the only one of four sisters that hasn't divorced. She and my dad have been married for 34 years. The other sisters have seven divorces between them.
