April 19, 200917 yr I have decided to switch from sodas to water (or at least give it a shot lol) What are some side effects that I might receive from the lack of sugar / caffeine?
April 19, 200917 yr Well depending on how much water you will be drinking your urine will be clear. Ive only been drinking water, jucie and milk for about 3 years now and cant say i felt a difference when i first started. I will say i cant even drink soda if i want to it tastes to sweet.
April 19, 200917 yr Author Hmm.. Does Gatorade have sugar? It's not like I'm trying to cut back 100% on sugar but I'm just wondering.

April 19, 200917 yr Yeah gatorade has alot of sugar, just about as much as soda. But if your outside sweating working out its fine to drink.
April 19, 200917 yr Don't sub gatorade for water, that's a good way to get kidney stones. You should be drinking at least a glass of water for every non-water drink you have (except milk or unsweetened juice or tea)

April 20, 200917 yr It's amazing the calories you take in even if you drink only a few sodas a day.. if you drink six or more then it's just way way too much. I was drinking a lot of the malt liquor energy drinks (usually at least one a day) for months and months, and I was wondering why I put on sixty pounds. I stopped drinking them and I don't really drink soda much anymore either and I've dropped 10 pounds in about 3 weeks.

Thanks, you guys, you've been helpful.
April 20, 200917 yr Water is the greatest drink of all time :thumbup then beer, then whiskey (and i suppose, wine, but I haven't gotten to that stage of my life yet :lol ) soda is a solid 5 IMO [edit coffee and tea are pretty solid too... I'm starting to realize that I have an unhealthy obsession with drinks :confused ] I drink diet soda tho. [pepsi max w/ extra caffeine and ginseng is bomb] If you read any nutritionist's assessment of how many glasses of water a day you should drink your jaw will drop. You basically should be drinking water constantly. Can't really get too much of it, unless you go to extreme extents chugging constantly. When I joined my frat we had to have safety classes and they told us that at least one kid has died from drinking too much water during hazing. [edit: here's another] Chugging massive amounts of water can actually be worse than doing the same with beer because beer fizzes/fills up your stomach and is easier to barf back up. :thumbup
