heh Just a thought! Because man he sucks!

As much as the pen, and his starters! He's a terrible terrible manager...

Fredi looked bad out there on the mound tonight, I agree

Taking a break from this board. Not coming back till mid July when all the annoying posters leave.

lol quitter!

The season is lost. Firing Fredi won't bring us a third basemen, starting pitcher, or any of the true caliber of player that we actually need.

are u nuts.....this season is not lost we can turn this around.

if you think that the coaching is whats holding this team back, you're nuts..

funny how the coach gets criticized when his team hits the skids, yet gets no credit when they started 11-1

My biggest problem with this situation is that the mgr does not have many real good options to turn to. So, you need help in the rotation and you keep bringing up either has been's, or never were's, or guys that are just not ready yet. Look, I am not a Freddi fan, and yes, I have disagreed with a LOT of his decisions, but to blame this debacle on him is nuts.

Like former Dolphins OC, Gary Stevens used to say, "You can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh....!" As far as putting other guys in the lineup, yeah, I guess he could try Ross Gload, or Wes Helms. but does anyone really think that they would spark the team?

Let's face it folks, this team is just not that good. Yes, there are some players that have some talent, but they are not consistent enough to do the job day in and day out. Yes, it could be partly coaching, but how long have Hermida and Uggla been around? They are not rookies. They are what they are. As much as I like Cody Ross, his hustle and heart far outweigh his ability.

The sad thing about it is everyone keeps talking about in 2112, or whenever the supposed new ballpark is here, that will fix everything. Do we really think that people are going to go out and support THIS type of product, just to be in a state of the art facility? Highly unlikely. Not in Miami. No matter how good the retractable roof is for getting the games in, why would you pay to see this type of product?

Bottom line, it starts at the top. Luria and his do-boys are just in it for the money. There is not excuse for putting this product on the field.

I strongly agree with one point listed above... This team cannot suddenly flip a switch and be a strong contender the instant the stadium opens in 2012 (2112 is a great Rush album btw... I couldn't resist the typo above...lol)... Hopefully, this team gets better over the next few seasons so that the momentum carries over into the new ballpark... This team needs to keep the fans excited about the fact that the Marlins will be greatly competitve and there is always something good (prospects) coming over the horizon... I understand payroll is limited for a few years yet, and I hope that the majority of the fanbase doesnt get turned off by the Marlins before the new park opens... Right now, I would not be surprised to see Hanley walk around the clubhouse with his "I am tired of this sh*t" T-Shirt again...

I have strong optimism that as long as half of the big prospects coming up in the next few years pans out, and that Loria/FO team fills needs with freee agents as 2012 gets closer, that this team will be great for a long time... But for now, we have to deal with the fact that this team is what it is... We can't just start rushing up players that aren't ready yet and any trades, if any, are weeks away... Fredi has made some head-scratching decisions but look at the roster and injury-issues he has to deal with... We can't really overhaul this roster and Fredi is the FO "Yes" man (sorry Jim Carrey) and most likely not on the chopping block. I think the first step may be to overhaul the coaching staff first (except Wiley - I think he has done his job)

What people forget is that by 2012 NOBODY on this team now will be on the team then!

The way they turn over players on this club maybe "Sean West" or one of our really super young AA guys will be on the team but "Ramirez, Uggla, Cantu, Baker, Ross, Hermida" will all be gone!

By then we will have guys like Stanton in the OF if he develops right he will be hitting his 2nd or 3rd year by then.

Doesn't matter anyway if the Mayans are correct were all dead by dec 24th 2012! So we at least get 1 nice season in a new park before it's all darkness.
