July 2, 200917 yr villanueva signed for 5 years and 40 million. that's actually 8 million per year, which is even worse Pistons are very, very stupid. Another thing Artest wants is a championship ring. Plenty of teams that aren't in contention right now are offering him the $8 million a year, he wants $12 million a year, which nobody is offering. He either takes the $8 million from some non contender or take the discount to try and win a championship Yeah he should sign for the MLE in Cleaveland, it's his best shot at a title but where would he play?
July 2, 200917 yr HOUSTON - NBA sources told FOX 26 Sports Wednesday it is unlikely free agent forward Ron Artest will return to the Houston Rockets. League sources told FOX 26 the Rockets would be willing to offer Artest a one-year contract at best. The sources said because of that the chances of Artest resigning with Houston are remote. Artest's agent, David Bauman, who has not been available for comment, said Tuesday Artest's first preference is to return to the Rockets. However, if that was not possible, Artest wanted to play for a team that will compete for a championship. Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has not been available for comment for this story. The Rockets acquired Artest in a trade with Sacramento last July. In his only season with Houston Artest averaged 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.3. assists, and 1.52 steals per game.

July 2, 200917 yr Oh My, The Lakers are not willing to give Ariza more then the MLE so he might walk and a front runner to sign him is Cleavland.
July 2, 200917 yr Oh My, The Lakers are not willing to give Ariza more then the MLE so he might walk and a front runner to sign him is Cleavland. It's his agent. He is a class A ass hole. He was the same agent for Andrew Bynum who played hard to get until Bynum said "JUST SIGN ME TO THE LAKERS", its his agents contract games, he is hoping the Lakers back down and offer more than the MLE, but that won't happen. It'll be fun to see what happens.

July 2, 200917 yr i love how players have 2-3 good playoff games and then immediately demand 10 million a year.
July 2, 200917 yr i love how players have 2-3 good playoff games and then immediately demand 10 million a year. It's what Dim said, he has a very hard headed agent that wants contracts like all of his clients are all stars. Ariza is a solid player but isn't worth more than 4 or 5 mil a year.

Yeah, his agent is pretty stupid because he has a great role on a great team and would be getting pretty good money.
July 2, 200917 yr Damn it Otis, DO SOMETHING!!!!!! Calm Down it's only day 2 and there's still plenty of fish in the sea.
July 2, 200917 yr Damn it Otis, DO SOMETHING!!!!!! lol Otis from Back At The Barnyard? I love that cartoon!! LOL
July 2, 200917 yr you are crazy the most underated player in the nba is gerald wallace. Not even close, Wallace hasn't even averaged 20 points in a season yet, but he has great potential as do many players on the Bobcats and they could be a very good team in the future.
July 2, 200917 yr Damn it Otis, DO SOMETHING!!!!!! Calm Down it's only day 2 and there's still plenty of fish in the sea. How can I calm down when the Celtics and Cavs are so active yet the Magics are doing nothing!
July 2, 200917 yr If a Spanish media outlet?s report this morning is accurate, Ricky Rubio has decided to stay in Spain for two years to finish his contract with DKV Joventut instead of trying to play in the NBA with the T-Wolves (or whatever team would have traded for him). The Barcelona newspaper that is the source of the news, El Periodico, says that Rubio is going to drop is lawsuit against the club so that he can return and play form them this upcoming season.
July 2, 200917 yr Yea, I heard about that. I heard the Timberwolves plan is to have Johnny Flynn play now untill Ricky Rubio is ready to play in the NBA. Either way, I think it was very stupid of them to draft Rubio, unless they get something really good for him in return.
July 2, 200917 yr Author The Heat have contacted free agents Ron Artest and Allen Iverson in hopes of getting one of them on board. The Heat probably wouldn't make either player an offer of more than one year, but could also explore sign-and-trade possibilities. per Rotoworld Wow! I would love either one but that would be amazing if they could talk Artest into coming here. Chalmers, Wade, Artest, Haslem, O'Neal and Beasley as 6th man :drool

I don't care if we have to be stuck with Mario Chalmers.

Beasley would be fine off the bench and is a very good scoring threat when we need him. Still i doubt we sign one of these guys at all.
July 2, 200917 yr for the sake of the heat i hope they don't sign iverson; that guy is a team cancer. he's the only reason i never became a sixers fan and instead became a kings fan.
July 2, 200917 yr If we sign Iverson, I quit on the season. And a recent article I have read says that the Heat probably aren't going to make any big moves, if any moves it will be for some no names. Artest will probably end up in Cleveland, and Iverson I hope ends up anywhere but Miami. Plus I still like Chalmers as starting PG, he is great at getting steals and is clutch with the three.
