June 26, 200917 yr well i was really looking forward to the draft but the kings front office let me down. first they draft evans over rubio. although i do like the casspi pick because he could turn into a hedo-type of player. but the brockman pick just pisses me off. a 6'7" power forward is going to get manhandled and outrebounded in the nba. they should have traded up 1 pick and taken dajuan blair. :confused

Sort of hypocritical. dejuan blair is more athletic and reminds me of paul millsap. while brockman reminds me of greg ostertag. plus blair dominated thabeet while brockman played in a weak pac-10.
June 26, 200917 yr Author Heat take Marcus Thornton 43rd overall. I like the pick. He's a very good scorer and a good rebounder for a guard. I wonder what we are gonna do with Cook. Try him out at backup SF?
June 26, 200917 yr That was one of the worst drafts in recent memory. McClinton went to the Spurs, who also got Blair, damn I hate the Spurs.

Try him out at backup SF? well they traded his rights to the hornets. and then acquired the rights to patrick beverley and robert dozier
June 26, 200917 yr draft sucked for the heat, im not even a wolves fan but they knew rubio wasnt going to play for them. they should have just taken flynn and curry... team them up with jefferson and love and you have a solid young core.... the GS suns trade bothers me if the trade goes down.. the suns get the better of the trade and doesnt amare become a free agent at the end of 2010? why do it Biedrens gives you 15 and 10 and curry makes no f***ing sense to me. and what about steve nash the man aint getting any younger why dont they trade him to a contender. that would be the respectful thing to do... i would love to see nash on the heat........
June 26, 200917 yr Well I guess something good about the draft is that since we didn't have a first round pick we still have no guaranteed money for 2010.

June 26, 200917 yr Getting Carter basically screwed Orlando now. Hedo does not want to resign now and you also lost Alston and Lee. Now you have money to sign basically one good or 2 decent players. Your projected lineup according to ESPN now looks like this. G Nelson G Carter F Lewis F FA Signing/ Ryan Anderson C Howard

We basically traded for Carter because we weren't going to sign Hedo. He commanded to much money. This is a Win now move. It screws out flexibilty because of all the money invested to Lews and Carter, but we are a more dangerous team now with Carter.

But now they have basically weakened there bench. If they sign a PF there bench is Ryan Anderson, Reddick, Pietrus, Johnson and an iffy player in Tyrone Lue. It's not bad but could be better.

No guaranteed money, but Wade has a player option, and Beasley, Jones, Cook, and Chalmers all have team options.

Well, Boston won with an OK bench. But you're right. I would like to see us have a deeper bench.
June 27, 200917 yr Well, Boston won with an OK bench. But you're right. I would like to see us have a deeper bench. Well they had guys like Rondo,Pierce Allen and Garnet who played 37 mins per game. And the bench was pretty good with Posey, House, Powe, PJ Brown, Sam Cassell, Big Baby, and Tony Allen.

June 27, 200917 yr http://nba.fanhouse....e-brandon-bass/ Now that they have landed All-Star Vince Carter and all but said goodbye to Hedo Turkoglu, the Orlando Magic will try to rebuild their supporting cast by targeting a pair of vastly different free-agent frontcourt players. After losing to the Lakers and their big front line in the NBA Finals, the Magic are expected to make offers next week in free agency to both veteran Rasheed Wallace of Detroit and young Brandon Bass of Dallas, according to two NBA sources. Wallace, 34, is expected to be pursued by both the Magic and the Boston Celtics, who are competing with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Wallace has played 14 seasons in the NBA, earning a reputation as an often enigmatic, but unselfish player with championship experience. Wallace still could remain in Detroit, but he has expressed a desire to finish his career with a legitimate contender in the East. He would help either Boston or Orlando counter Cleveland's addition of Shaquille O'Neal. Bass, 24, came into the league with New Orleans as a second-round draft pick. Although still unheralded as a backup last season to Dirk Nowitzki, he is considered a good rebounder who would provide Dwight Howard with more help around the basket. In getting Carter on Thursday from New Jersey, the Magic traded center/forward Tony Battie, along with guards Rafer Alston and Courtney Lee. They also are expecting to lose center/forward Marcin Gortat to free agency, necessitating several roster moves this summer. Turkoglu wasn't part of the deal for Carter, but his fate in Orlando became clear when the Magic traded for Carter. Turkoglu earlier this week notified the league that he was opting out of his contract to become a free agent. He is expected to be seriously pursued by Toronto, Portland and Sacramento. He is seeking a five-year deal worth an estimated $10 million annually, which is more than the Magic were willing to pay.
June 28, 200917 yr Getting Rasheed Wallace would be huge for Orlando. Yep Yep. Same for Boston if they get him.
