i really like what the wolves are doing. miller was underachieving and foye will always be remembered as the guy that got traded for brandon roy. now they have 4 picks in the first round which will allow them to build around jefferson and love.

oh and by the way, it seems that the bucks turned right around and traded oberto to the pistons for amir johnson (according to ESPN). although i don't understand this on the piston's part because amir is younger, more athletic, and has more potential.

it's good that the wizards got rid of bloated contracts but i don't think it'll change anything next season. they'll still be one of the worst defensive teams in the league and it's going to be difficult to see if they can get enough touches for arenas, miller, butler, and jamison because all 4 need the ball to be effective. also when are they going to give nick young a chance, the guy has alot of potential to be a good scorer in the leauge. i like this trade alot more for the wolves. now they can package their 5th or 6th along with their 18th to move up to the 2nd spot. they could get rubio and stephen curry with those picks to have a young dynamic duo in the backcourt along with jefferson and love in the front court. and then they still have their 28th pick to get a reliable backup or maybe move up a couple spots with that pick as well in a trade.

it would be mike conley and when they offered the deal to the pistons they would have received stuckey. it seems that doc rivers and some of the players on the team have a problem with rondo and his stubbornness. either way, these trade proposals are insults to other teams.

Warriors trade Jamal Crawford to the Hawks for Acie Law and Speedy Claxton.

That trade to Memphis was beyond an insult. Rondo and Scalabrine for Gay alone would be a terrible trade for the Grizzlies.

The New Jersey Nets are in serious talks with the Magic about a deal that will send Vince Carter to Orlando for Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee, two league sources told ESPN.com.

 

The talks have reached a point that a deal could be done by the end of the day Thursday, according to sources.

 

The trade would give the Magic even more star power on their quest to win an NBA championship. The addition of Carter to a lineup that already consists of All-Star players Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis and Jameer Nelson would make Orlando the favorite to win the Eastern Conference title next year if the franchise also finds a way to bring back Hedo Turkoglu, who will opt out of his contract this summer.

 

As for the Nets, the move is a cost-cutting measure. Both Alston and Battie are in the last year of their contracts, and trading for them would shave $16.5 million off New Jersey's roster in the summer of 2010 and put the Nets well below the salary cap.

 

The deal, if completed, would also give the Nets a young, promising shooting guard in Lee.

Here is my wishlist if the Heat remain with those two 2nd round picks

 

1. Jack McClinton (WE ALL WANT HIM IN A HEAT JERSEY!)

2. Jodie Meeks (pure scorer, would be great to have a pure scorer off the bench not named Daequan Cook)

3. AJ Price (Good three point shooter, could be a decent value pick at the last pick)

4. Patrick Mills (will probably go early 2nd or late first, but if he falls he would be a steal, heart and soul of Saint Mary's team last year).

 

If the Heat trade for late first round pick (I would suspect the #28 pick the T-Wolves have)

 

1. Eric Maynor (if he falls, most likely a mid first round pick, scored 22 points a game at VCU and is by far one of the best passers in this draft)

2. Jeff Teague (very good jump shot, can shoot the three, is more of a shooting guard than a true PG)

3. Omri Casspi (I actually don't want him, but there has been talk that the Heat are interested in trading up to get the Israeli player)

4. Dajuan Blair (similar build to Beasley, but plays like a more natural PF).

 

Overall, the late first round of the draft isn't that impressive. I will be happy with this draft if I hear "Miami Heat draft University of Miami point guard Jack McClinton" sometime during this draft.

that is a huge deal for the magic. now they also have leverage over hedo when it comes to contract talks because they could be just as good without him as long as they sign a power forward

I wouldn't be surprised if the Magic go with Lewis, Anderson and Howard at SF/PF/C. Anderson is in the same mold as Hedo.. 6'10 and can shoot the three with better rebounding skills and less passing. He's also a good FT shooter and only 21.

 

This makes them one hell of a team and in my opinion the clear favorite to win the Eastern Conference again.
