July 2, 200917 yr It is now being reported that Ron Artest will sign with the Lakers for the MLE. http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/11838893/15861966
July 2, 200917 yr It is now being reported that Ron Artest will sign with the Lakers for the MLE. http://www.cbssports...838893/15861966 OMG WTF. The only guy that has some success gaurding Kobe is probably going to be his teammate. But this means Ariza is definatley leaving and Odom might be gone to.
July 3, 200917 yr wow artest. one of my favorite players is going to play for the lakers :thumbdown . i can't believe he's playing for the MLE, he should be earning 10 million per year. but i guess he wants a championship. lakers for the repeat.

He's young, and can anchor your defense. He's KG without the offense.
July 3, 200917 yr Author Rotoworld seems to think the Lakers will sign Artest AND keep Odom. If they do, you might as well hand them the trophy now for next season.

July 3, 200917 yr I'm OK with the Heat not making any moves. There aren't many players out there who we need to go after, and I'd rather save the money to sign two or three players next season.

Exactly. Lineup is fine with Chalmers Wade Moon/Beasley Haslem O'Neal Bench Moon/Beasley Cook Jone Wright Diawara Head Quinn Beverley Anthony We'll probably sign one more big man to complete the roster, but i would love to sign Zaza Pachullia for the MLE.
July 3, 200917 yr And that's just great Artest has reached a verbal agreement for a 3 year deal and they'll be officially signing in the next few days. Fisher Bryant Artest Gasol Bynum That's a pretty good starting 5 With Odom possibly being a 6th man. They might be on there way to back to back titles. If they find a way to sign Ariza there's no doubt in my mind that they'll repeat.

He's young, and can anchor your defense. He's KG without the offense. Teams like him because his per 48 min. numbers are very good. Something like 14 points 10 reb and 1.8 blocks per 48 min played. I'm not sure if that is such a great stat, but apparently many NBA GM's think he can be a starting center. Many NBA GM's think Zach Randolph is a good player also, so that isn't saying much. If you go by the same stat, Joel Anthony is one of the best defensive big men in the league.

If you go by the same stat, Joel Anthony is one of the best defensive big men in the league. I doubt he gives you 14 PPG. I'm guessing around 8-10 PPG. But he will give you tremendous defense, hustle, and intensity. He's always been an underdog, so he's mentally tough, too. 8-10 reb and 1.5-2 blocks per sounds good.
July 3, 200917 yr Author The Miami Herald reports the Heat have interest in signing Allen Iverson. According to the newspaper, discussions with agent Leon Rose are believed to be in the initial stages and the Heat's offer would be for less than the full mid-level amount. A source told the Palm Beach Post that the Heat is probably far down on Iverson's list of preferred teams. ESPN You have to believe that if Riley really wants Iverson, he and Wade would be able to talk him into coming to Miami.

And then he can also play a little pointguard when chalmers is sitting. I kinda like it, IF he comes cheaper than the full MLE. We cant give him the full thing, thats too much IMO.
July 4, 200917 yr Author Hedo Turkoglu is not going to Portland. Sounds like he is going to Toronto. Hopefully they make the playoffs and get bounced in the first round so the Heat can get their pick. Next year's draft is suppose to be stacked.
July 4, 200917 yr Wow, I just read that Hedo might go back to Orlando. We offered him a 5 year 45 Million dollar contract. He might come back! Also, Orlando contacted Rasheeds agent. There you go, Otis.

Next year's draft is suppose to be stacked. LOL...I was thinking the same thing. I hope they make the playoffs, lose in the 1st round, the Heat get their 1st rounder and Bosh bolts for Miami. That would be perfect. I guess this should also end the Bosh for Beasley trade talk. The Raptors clearly aren't going to trade Bosh this offseasn now. Personally, I think that is good. I am totally against dealing Beasley without giving him a full season as a starter.
