June 27, 200917 yr Author Lots of good matches today: Hewitt - Petzschner Roddick - Melzer Murray - Troicki Haas - Cilic (finishing yesterday's) Gonzalez - Ferrero Mauresmo - Pennetta Wawrinka - Levine Also... loving Hewitt's fans in the stands, very entertaining folks
June 27, 200917 yr Man this sucks, NBC has the rights to the Roddick game so I can't watch it live.... That' fails.
June 28, 200917 yr Author More great tennis on the schedule folks: Pitchy's Recommendations: Soderling/Federer - Rematch of the French Open final... Fed probably dominates, but what the heck Murray/Wawrinka - The first "real" test of Murray in the tournament Venus Williams/Ivanovic - Ana has been inconsistent for a good while, but great potential for this match Roddick/Berdych - I'm a homer Hewitt/Stepanek - Hewitt's been playing really well and Stepanek should be a solid test to see if Hewitt's legit for this tourny
June 28, 200917 yr Author Realized that I should say, for those that don't know, this is tomorrow's schedule... I'd hate someone to see this great schedule and get their hopes up only to see it not on :lol
June 28, 200917 yr Really want to watch Ivanovic vs. Williams and the Roddick match... but I got class from 9 to 2 tomorrow. So I guess I will only get to catch the beginning of the women's match.
June 29, 200917 yr Author Im really angry with NBC right now... ESPN was finishing their broadcast of Federer/Soderling... so what match does NBC open with? Simul-casting that... then they decide to show the Venus/Ivanovic walkover now... and I'll be super angry if they show Serena next instead of the many solid matches currently going
June 29, 200917 yr Author Now Hewitt advances and it appears Fererro will too, if he can keep it up. Wow, these veterans are playing solid
June 29, 200917 yr Author Fun quarterfinals coming up: Roddick/Hewitt Murray/Fererro Karlovic/Federer Haas/Djokovic
June 30, 200917 yr A little off topic, but Wimbledon officials have admitted that they put better looking women in center court during the first rounds in hopes to get higher attendance. Why they would ever admit this I don't know, but there was a reason the unranked hotties were in center court.

Why they would ever admit this I don't know, but there was a reason the unranked hotties were in center court. Source? And... I don't really think anyone cares, because the tennis has been good all along, and women like Lisicki were advancing anyways.

Well, something about that article (ignoring the Williams sister's father eventually crying racism) is, a match with Venus or Serena is usually frickin' boring as heck. I'm not interested in seeing a 6-0, 6-0 or 6-2, 6-1 match, which is what an early round Williams match is. However, Caroline Wozniacki (like that article pictured) had a few good matches, Sorana Cirstea, too. These hot girls aren't just hot, but really good.
June 30, 200917 yr Author For kicks though, here are the Centre Court matchups for the ladies: Serena Wiliams (2) def. Neuza Silva (UR) Venus Villiams (3) def. Stefanie Voegele (UR) Gisela Dulko (UR) def. Maria Sharapova (24) Caroline Wozniacki (9) def. Maria Kirilenko (UR) Victoria Azarenka (8) def. Sorana Cirstea (28) Venus Williams (3) def. Carla Suarez-Navarro (UR) Dinara Safina (1) def. Amelie Mauresmo (17) Dinara Safina (1) def. Sabine Lasicki (UR) Serena Williams (2) def. Victoria Azarenka (8) I'm not seeing this bias, every matchup had a ranked player... Maria Sharapova was a recent Wimbledon winner, Wozniacki was a sleeper favorite to win and Azarenka was pegged to be the one to have the best shot at taking down Serena
June 30, 200917 yr Author Wimbledon has been a huge disappointment so far. How on Earth do you figure???
July 1, 200917 yr Author What was exciting about last year's? The final That's my point, you can't say this year's Wimbledon isn't as good as last year's, when the highlight of last year's was the Final... we haven't had a chance at a final yet
