Overrated places...

Featured Replies

I've got a good one - Fenway Park.

What, The city of Boston is overrated but Fenway and Soxs Games are one of the best or only fun thing to do there.

I'll agree that Fenway probably is overrated.

How about Wrigley?

Don't know about Wrigley, I just know that Fenway is one of the most uncomfortable places to see a game.

I loved Wrigley! Old school, beat down bathrooms and stuff, but..... atmosphere owns all!

Being around Cubs fans would be scarier than Aventura at night.

I'd perfer Cubs fans(Crazy White men and women) over the Neighborhood in front of Aventura mall(The Ghetto).

I fully agree with frat parties, clubs, and cruises.

I disagree with Fenway Park. Sure, the seats are a bit uncomfortable, angled strangely, and sometimes have polls in the way, but the atmosphere and other aesthetic qualities are unmatched in baseball. I love the way you can go to Fenway and not have to endure the tackiness of the Mermaids, Manatees, T-shirt guns, etc. and just appreciate the game of baseball with a crowd that is almost always sold out.

I would have agreed with the old Yankee Stadium. That facility was horrendous, but I have a soft spot for Fenway.

I basically only brought up Fenway because of the leg room, since I'm 6'6". Possibly because I hate Red Sox nation morons, also.

No, I hear you. I'm fairly tall myself and I had that problem. It's certainly not an ideal venue, but I think it remains one of the best places in the country to watch a baseball game.

I would agree, it's one of the most unique and fun places. As I mentioned, I brought it up because it's a very piss poor facility. Since the thread is about overrated places, and all. But you are right about the experience of Fenway. As long as you don't completely hate the Red Sox and the so called Red Sox nation, it's a fun place to go.

I loved Yankee Stadium the one time I went. Yes, not the nicest park, but the atmosphere was everything I expected, especially since it happened to be a 10th inning walkoff against the Red Sox.

Haha Gizmo, I wouldn't blame it.

Oh sucks, those are the benefits of being a hispanic, living in a white neighborhood.
