July 6, 200916 yr How many people actually follow female athletics? I'm not a huge fan of female athletes besides the Williams sisters in tennis and a few basketball players such as Lisa Leslie.
July 6, 200916 yr Only during the Olympics, where I follow everything, I guess. I'll watch some female tennis if Pitchy tells me to check it out, but that's about it.
July 6, 200916 yr The only time I generally watch women's sports is tennis, and really only if its one of the 4 Grand Slam events. And even so, my watching is restricted to Sharapova and Ivanovic matches, and the final.
July 6, 200916 yr I watch women's soccer at the international level and college softball. Oh yeah and I like the X-games skiing and snowboarding.
July 6, 200916 yr The only thing I watch is women's tennis and the Olympics. I also liked when ESPN classic had the original 1990s version of American Gladiators but they took it off.
July 6, 200916 yr Women's Tennis and Shawn Johnson. Sometimes softball when there giving replays of the game at 4 in the morning and I'm still awake.
July 6, 200916 yr Basically womens tennis, some olympic events, and college volleyball and softball, but that is not really to "follow" the events, its mostly because I like looking at cute girls.

July 7, 200916 yr So, basically, no surprises on this thread. Well, the common reason to even watch a women's sport is some sort of affiliation with it. Either that.. or just being a chauvinistic male
July 7, 200916 yr Being straight is chauvinistic? Sorry man, but if I see something I like, I'm gonna check it out, if only for a moment.

Well, no, there's the difference... it's one thing to switch to Ana Ivanovic v Maria Sharapova just because they're hot. That's chauvinistic. Enjoying the match also because they are top players is the difference.
