July 31, 200917 yr Guys after tonight i mean we just cant afford to have bonifacio ruin more rallies. I love the guys speed and think his defense has a lot of potential but i think it makes sense to have Gaby start now. we can see what he brings both offensively and defensively. With bonifacio its even difficult for him to get a sac fly let alone not strike out. we really need a bat and i think should someone not be acquired that gaby deserves a shot. thoughts?

A trade to get Nick Johnson sounds like a better solution.

Actually, he leads the team in sac flies. Not to mention his K to AB ratio has improved every month and is one of the better ones on the team right now. K'ing isn't really the problem. He's been seeing alot of pitches, and even tho he did K last night in that one long AB, it resulted in a wild pitch that moved runners over. He does move runners over alot with his bat. Beats out DPs regularly. Gaby has proven nothing at this level. Have no idea where someone can say, "We can see what he brings both offensively and defensively." What we can see is absolutely nothing. Period. Like I have been saying. If 3B is changed it will be through trade because, despite what some want to believe, we have no other option within the org at this time. Let's see if this Johnson rumor pans out.

July 31, 200917 yr Bonifacio has proven something at this level, that he's not getting it done, and at this point there's absolutely no reason not to roll the dice and see if Gaby can get it done. also, lol at giving him credit for moving the runners up on that AB last night...
