August 8, 200917 yr Good news. Hopefully the next time he comes back, he's actually healthy. My guess he's still at least 3 or 4 more rehab outings from returning to the Majors.

I don't think he's going to be a huge innings eater. I'm sure when he first comes back he'll be on a 70 to 80 pitch count and after that they probably wont let him get passed 100 pitches.

August 9, 200917 yr I really thought Anibal's time starting for this team was coming to an end but due to circumstances it looks like he is once again the guy we need to fill a spot. It's certainly good to see an encouraging rehab start as I'm very tired of seeing Anibal rushed back. Usually he was pitching poorly before he got injured and then he pitches poorly in rehab starts, and then he gets injured again. That cycle has to come to and end.

If he can show he can return healthy at the end of this year 2. Whether or not the organisation feels that Sean West can begin the 2010 in the Marlins rotation Would you agree with that? Cos we aint gonna pay a guy $1m if he is not gonna be in the rotation.

Cos we aint gonna pay a guy $1m if he is not gonna be in the rotation. Basically. I'd say, whether the organization feels they can get 65-70 starts out of Miller, West, and Vanden Hurk though. It's not just West. I'd say if Anibal comes back and throws 5 good starts in September, he's a near lock to come back for 2010 at that price.
