Ticket Prices

Featured Replies

I recently saw the seating a pricing guide for the new ball park. It says that the prices are for a FULL season package. How much more do you think the tickets will be for individual games?

Did Samson/Loria/Beinfest say something about there will many seats for only $10? Unless the people buy a full season package... there will be no $10 seats. I am really confused.

Hop on the bus with everyone else. LOL

They are not saying. I haven't even heard officially what the price difference will be for partial plans yet. Or parking.

Don't worry Holly. There's still plenty of time for you to join us in the sticker shock phase.

It wouldn't surprise me if the ten dollar "seats" were actually standing room only, and the cheapest actual seats were 17-20 dollars in the vista section.

Or parking.

Considering the Marlins are leasing the parking spaces for $10 each, I imagine parking will be $12-$15, more than likely $15 because I think the demand will be there w/ fairly small amount of adjacent spaces in the grages and flat lots. Doing an analysis of the other MLB parking rates, $15 would put us middle of the pack or so. Considering Marlins officials have been talking "Middle of the pack" payrolls, we can expect middle of the pack costs on eveyrthing from tickets to food to parking.

Of course, I'm also fully expectign them to implement a tiered pricing strucutre for parking similar to what everyone's done w/ tickets (advance and dog, marquee games vs non-marquee) and what a few teams have done for parking. Could charge more for parking garage vs flat lot, or 1st floor vs second floor, that sort of thing. Expect Loria and co. to extract every dollar they can from us.

I was thinking $20. But your guess is as good as any.

Cheapest ticket will be 12.50 upper deck, atleast thats what i heard

For full season package those prices are $10-15. Partial plans should be higher. So I'm thinking $12.50 per game advanced sale is a little low, with game day purchases a little higher.

But it's all just a guess. They are being very tight lipped about the whole thing.

I went by last weekend. It is awesome and surprising so much is done already.

The stadium looks so huge for the property. How many parking spaces are there going to be? I don't see where they can put a parking garage.

I'm a little worried of making the trip down there just find out there is no place to park. Not certain I want to park on any place on the street/someone's grass. Not sure there is much place to park

Does anyone have an update on the garages and the little dispute over them? I also saw some drawings that had parking lots adjacent of the grounds. Any word on those? Parking availability and pricing is going to be one of the many questions I have for the 6th. And probably where we will get alot of non-answers. I'm really concerned about leaving that area after a game because of the way the streets are. Just seems like it will be the traffic jam from hell.

Pretty sure this http://www.miamihera...http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/04/23/1593688/after-delay-miami-officials-prepare.html answers all those questions.

Let’s see. 6000 parking spaces for a 37000 seat stadium. That’s over 6 people a car. Where’s the share-a-ride parking lot? Or the trolley station?? Are the Marlins fan base going to become bosom buddies and catch rides? That would solve parking prices—we’ll share the cost!!

Drove around the neighborhood and didn’t see any changes like someone buying up land. Streets are most residential so frequent stops and narrow. Still worried how to get there or out of there.

One possibility would be turning the traffic all going out after the game. At The University of Michigan football games, many main streets are heading in one direction away from the stadium after the game. It allows over 100K of fans leave the area in less than a half hour. Of course it helps most of these streets are more than two lanes in commercial area and not like the Orange Bowl site with mostly residential streets around it.

Yes it does. Thanks.

I think some people will also take the metrorail and then to the stadium via free shuttle. I know the marlins were talking about doing this. Also, when they were still trying to get the stadium deal in place a lot of residents complained that they relied on the money from selling their front lawns during canes games. I remembered hearing that they would still be able to do that. Maybe that means the marlins know they dont have the capacity for all the cars, and the no blocky blocky rule will still apply. Also walkups, but yeah. There aren't going to be enough parking spots for sellouts. Which we will have, at least initially.

I'm going to try taking the metrorail/shuttle combo a few times, and see how that works out. If its too much of a hassle, or no one else does it, ill just park in a gated lot I have access to that is a 10 min walk from the stadium.

I remember reading a post where someone went to a season ticket holder event and asked about the traffic leaving the stadium. They were assured it wouldn't be too congested, and there were other replys where people had gone to games in other cities that had parking garages and they stated that traffic left smoothly. I do have a hard time believing it wont be crazy congested tho.

We have been "assured" alot of things.

Due to the ineptitude of the county/city, the metrorail concerns me as well. I have been to a few events at the AAA, and took the metrorail/people mover combo. Well both times that I did this they shut the people mover off before the event was over, which left a walk through overtown to get to metrorail. After the second time I swore I would never take it again to an event there, which is a shame, because I made things a whole hell of a lot easier. I worry about getting out of games and not having the shuttle buses running or something cause a game ran long, and having to make the walk over to Jackson (which isn't really walking distance) at midnight.

Don't worry-getting there, parking and getting out of there was a workable problem for many years when 80,025 filled the OB regularly. But, you have to know the area, and for a small fee I can get you in and out and in N. Dade by 25 minutes after the last pitch. The area is a grid, there are multiple streets rather than one way in and out. Frankly, when the canes or fins had about 37,000 people at a game, it was like no one was there when it came to leaving. I just do not see it as an issue.

Cool. Remind us as the date gets closer regarding you small advice fee.

Just put down the deposit for my 2012 season tickets.

Everything is (more or less) twice as expensive as the comparable seat at the present stadium.

On the radio the other day Samson was saying season ticket sales were brisk. With folks doubling up their tickets. He also said ALL front row seating was taken. Have no idea how that could be true, unless we were lied to once again. Seeing that we were told, and it is in that pamphlet we got, that if you purchased tickets outside of your comparable seating you went to the back of the list, this has to another fable from Tin Boy. They have been doing the most expensive plans first, and working "down" from there. 4 more days until our meeting. This could be interesting.
