I know it's against Beinfest's religion to sign a reliever for millions but Benoit could have make our bullpen very very good.
November 17, 201015 yr I'd rather have John Buck (the 2010 version, that is). The Tigers just paid a ridiculous amount for a guy who won't even be closing games for them. That's the ultimate risk move. Benoit isn't getting any younger, either.
November 19, 201015 yr if he continues like he had pitched last year, it's worth it.... however, as sporadic as relievers are, and considering he never had a year like that prior, it will likely be a mistake plus what kind of reliever is he when he doesn't even have a beard....
