for those that maybe have lost track during this west coast trip (hell i havent seen much of these games because of the late start and school).

loss to Lakers on Sunday: 99-77

win at Seattle: 105-98

loss at Portland: 94-93 (shouldve won but blew a doulbe digit lead in the last few minutes)

halftime against the Warriors: down 52-51

3-9 record

I can't believe they lost that game to Portland :banghead Who fouls somebody with 0.4 seconds left

Did you want Odom to let him have the layup, a much easier percentage shot, or would you rather have him go to the line?

Lose lose either way if you ask me.

Lose lose either way if you ask me. yeah right!!! The guy was barely in the paint, on the baseline and LO made an unnesseccary foul. Even if the guy was gonna drive in for the layup, it could have rolled off and/or it could have been a bad shot. FTs are like no brainers especially at such a crucial point in tha game.

I didn't see the play, so I will neither criticize nor praise Odom's foul.

But I've been playing basketball my whole life, and believe me, you don't let a guy put up a layup in that situation without fouling him.

If you consider FT's automatic, what do you consider a layup, or dunk?

You put the guy on the line for two, and hope that luck is on your side (unless shaq is shooting the free throws, in which luck is not necessary).

you never allow a layup/dunk late in a game, especially when the game is on the line.

free throws should be mere formalities, but too many people cannot shoot.

especially when people dont even know what a mid range jumper is and/or how to make one of those.

you play the percentages by putting him on the line....unless he is one of the small handful that is proficent in free throws...even then you still foul them and make them make both free throws.

you NEVER allow layups or dunks with the game on the line.

i agree with that das, but like miggysladi20 said, this wasnt a layup attempt

thank you!!

I agree with everyone saying you never give up a free layup/dunk but this guy was barely near the rim, let alone the paint.

IMO it was a bad foul and it costs us the game

well IMO he would have had to hit a fade away or charge into Lamar Odom for 2 pts but whatever, we can't change it

bottom line is that the Heat shouldn't have given up their 14 point lead in the first place
