March 2, 201114 yr Author JJ getting hit hard in the 2nd, it seems. 3-run HR by Roger Bernadina makes it 4-0 Nationals.
March 2, 201114 yr Cousins and Raynor with hits to get the Marlins into the H column and the R column in the 3rd. 5-1.
March 2, 201114 yr Brian Sanches now pitching. JJ's line: 1.2 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 1 K GGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :banghead
March 2, 201114 yr Author By the way, John Lannan was at 7 pitches through 2 innings. Gameday doesn't count the pitches correctly for Spring Training. Outs/hits are automatically 1 pitch, K's are 3, walks are 4. They don't have the pitch count.
March 2, 201114 yr Author 1-2-3 3rd inning for Brian Sanches. Mr. I throw 85 and get outs like the guys who throw 95...
March 2, 201114 yr Author Cuban pitcher, Yunesky Maya, in for the Nationals, to start the 4th inning.
March 2, 201114 yr Author Dunn faces 4 lefties. Bernadina gets on-base on a bunt single, but a scoreless inning, overall.
March 2, 201114 yr By the way, John Lannan was at 7 pitches through 2 innings. Guys tend to swing early in the count as well, so it's not uncommon for pitch counts to be very low.
March 2, 201114 yr Author By the way, John Lannan was at 7 pitches through 2 innings. Guys tend to swing early in the count as well, so it's not uncommon for pitch counts to be very low. If you notice, according to gameday, no pitcher has thrown a ball today. The pitch counts they have listed for Spring Training games are false; that's all there is to it.
March 2, 201114 yr Bad start for JJ, but I'm not concerned. Cousins has been hitting the ball well though it seems.
