Hammerhead
JUPITER, Fla. -- Nagging ailments are beginning to surface for the Marlins. On Sunday afternoon, the team announced that mild right elbow soreness will prevent right-hander Javier Vazquez from making his scheduled start on Monday. "He has mild elbow soreness, but he should be OK for his next start," Marlins manager Edwin Rodriguez said. "He said he wanted to make sure that he would be ready for the regular season. He will have three more starts before the season starts, so he should be fine." Vazquez would be lined up to pitch on Saturday against the Cardinals. "If something is going to happen, this is a good time to deal with that," Rodriguez said. "At this point, we just want to make sure everybody is going to be all right for Opening Day. So that's why we're not taking any chances." Righty Alex Sanabia will make the start Monday against the Twins in Fort Myers, Fla. The 34-year-old Vazquez has been effective in his first two Grapefruit League starts, compiling a 2.57 ERA. Vazquez pitched Wednesday against the Nationals, and he has thrown seven innings this spring. New of Vazquez's elbow came on the day it was made public that center fielder Chris Coghlan is dealing with a sore right shoulder. Coghlan was used as the designated hitter in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Nationals. "His shoulder is not 100 percent," Rodriguez said. "That's normal because he didn't have the chance to get in very good shape, throwing-wise when he was rehabbing." Coghlan is recovering from surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. Of late, he has been used mostly as a DH. The Marlins are playing the next two days on the west coast of Florida, and Coghlan isn't making the trip. Rodriguez said the plan is for Coghlan to be in center field on Wednesday when the Marlins face the Rays. http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20110313&content_id=16930920¬ebook_id=16934214&vkey=notebook_fla&c_id=fla

I myself woke up with a fever yesterday and am still fighting it today, I definitely blame it on spring training.
