April 23, 201115 yr Me and my sister are going to Sundays game.We want to see the Marlins take batting practice, however I do not know what time is best to show up by. Are we even able to watch them take BP?
April 23, 201115 yr Don't bother. The home team usually doesn't have their batting practice open to the public. You might catch ten minutes at the end, but you will pretty much only see the visiting team take BP even if you get there as soon as the gates open. The best way to see the Marlins take BP is to see them on the road.
April 23, 201115 yr El Pengiuno speaks the truth. You may get there really early and still see none of it.
April 24, 201115 yr On some Sundays both teams skip outside BP completely and just take cuts in the indoor cage, although that probably happens more in the Summer.
April 24, 201115 yr Im sure they HATE taking BP under that sun! You got to see a hell of a game and pitchers duel!

Its one of my favorite parts about seeing them there, plus not a whole lot of people in the stadium at that time. The only time I've ever seen them take BP at home was when I had a friend on the opposing team.
April 25, 201115 yr Weird....the last few games I was at, they took batting practice last. That was last season *thrugs*
